I have a 1/2" Dewalt in the race trailer, works fine for lug nuts. I have the latest 1/2" Litium Snap-on at work which has been the king for years.......BUT the NEW 1/2" lithium Ingersol Rand makes the snap-on look like a toy!!! I now have both and use them daily. I perfer the snap-on for...
there is a small dia hose that comes off the vent fitting on the oil tank. I loop in back down through one of the hoses in the oil tank mounting brackets.
The hose off the IAC, turn it so it points down. nothing goes on the end of it. Eric
Yep. Not a thing wrong with it. Put 5 days of riding on it outwest. We only put on about 30-40 miles a day.
Time for a change, Been on the same sled for 6 years.
Make sure you didnt blow the throttle bodies off from the engine. Its very easy to do and sometimes it only blows one end of the rack loose. you may have to slightly pull on the throttle bodies to see if they are loose.
Eric
What are you using for oil? Have you done a leak down test on the motor?
I use 0w-40 mobil one, My sled has over 7,000 miles, its boosted, and has 2% leakdown on all 4 cyl. Uses ZERO oil. Eric
Where there is smoke there is fire....OFT dropped the ball on one of my orders back around thanksgiving time. Something didnt feel right then, I did get my money back but I sure would have thought things woudl have been "fixed" by now. Eric
They are exactly that. They are to keep the drivers from moving on the shaft. This can be a problem when studs are installed in the track and hard cornering on ice or hard packed snow.
The extroverts press on so hard this is not an issue. You dont need them. Eric
the hair dryer in the air box was a BAD idea. That will majorly effect the air temp sensor moutned in the air box. The air temp sensor is the primary function for fuel control on start up. Eric
Do exactly what your doing. Keep your hand off the throttle untill it fires then crack the throttle just enough to keep it running.
When its that cold outside the fuel injection is giving it a ton of fuel to fire off. When it fires you have to give it that extra air by opening the throttle...
Your blowing Stock 8DN yamaha belts? If thats the case then you have a major problem. These belts are some of the strongest belts in the snowmobile world. They have no problem holding up in the mountains turning 162-174 2.5/3" tracks with 250-400 HP.
When you get a new belt wash it in hot...
First of all its not a BOV (blow off valve). Its a By-Pass valve, thats is why it has pressure and vaccum going to it.
If both vac lines are not hooked up correctly it will effect how it operates and your boost readings.
It doesnt make any crazy noise when it opens. at slower speeds on...
the f4 will flow a ton of air, when it gets colder out you can install the wind-stopper liner that comes with the helmet.
I use 509 sinisters with it. They fit pretty good but with a little trimming on the nose gaurd and a little extra foam added in the corners it fits PERFECT! I wear this...
oh I know exactly how it got there. I just dont like it. Is there a solution to this issue? There was a lot of water in there and the corrsion part is what I dont want. Eric
New to the boost world, not sure if this is a common problem but I know I dont like it.
Its been about 3 weeks since I rode the sled. I live at 1,000 ft and ride at 10,000 ft. Trailered in an enclosed trailer and stored at 65* in my shop.
Last night I had to work on the steering linkage...
I have the digital AEM gauge and dont like it. The color sweep graph you cant see in day light and the digital display works well but can also be hard watch as the numbers change to quickly.
I will likely go to a analog AEM gauge at some point. Eric
