Really cool Facebook Post by Greg Marier on Yamaha Snowmobile Development

Best part about those early test sleds in Duluth was the sound they made! Man they sounded good amongst the 2 strokes! 2 strokes stung your ears and the nytro pressed on your chest. I think the sound was enough to sell me! hahaha Good memories!

Anyone regret adding the 1.75 backcountry track for trail riding?

Changing bearings is a good idea if you have it all apart. I Change mine every 4 - 5000 miles. If you have a lot less miles than that i would just pull the seals off carefully and press some fresh grease into them. Its a pain changing some of the bearings because you need access to a press for...

Anyone regret adding the 1.75 backcountry track for trail riding?

BC 1.75 was the best upgrade I have made to my xtx. The difference in deep snow is amazing. You can run into slider wear issues in the spring when trails are super hard and crusty because of the lug height. I had great luck last season using the new dupont slides from yamaha. Also consider...

    Drive shaft size 2009 xtx?

    Great thanks a lot. :)

    Drive shaft size 2009 xtx?

Is the drive shaft size on a 2009 xtx 1 1/16"? Can anyone confirm. Looking at wahl Brothers extrovert drive sprockets for my BC track. I want to run the track looser. I am having ratcheting issues in deep snow under heavy load. Thanks

    I called Yamaha

Sorry I should have specified. .. Yamaha ecu and FI would solve the starting issues. I agree performance issues are totally clutch based. I tried shagman's xtx while on a demo ride and it was night and day better than the stock xtx demo sled was. His was setup with the nytro belt and...

    I called Yamaha

Yes full yamaha ecu, throttle buddies, throttle lever on the viper. Sounds like an awsome year 5 upgrade for the SR chassis viper! :) The real question for me is whether the use of an AC FI system was a deal breaker for the viper to be built by AC? I mean its not like yamaha didn't already...

    I called Yamaha

I have the perfect fix for this issue by yamaha. Use the nytro ecu and Fuel injection system and ditch the ac fuel injection system. Problem solved! My nytro has ran and started like a champ for 7000+ miles now. :). The ONLY downside is would be the loss of the tricked out gauge package...

Double Header: TY March Ride and Demo Ride...Book Now!!

I was part of the demo ride on Friday morning. Awesome group of people and I can't thank everyone enough for putting this demo ride together. We rode from the hotel down to Manistique on the northern shore of Lake Michigan. I think the loop was almost 140 miles in total. So basically I...

Who is attending the TY Demo RIde March 21 and 22?

I will be there for Friday. Hopefully I can get in on the morning ride. I have no issues with someone riding my sled either.

Primary clutch went BOOM! Will any primary fit?

I had the exact same thing happen. I have been running an apex primary for two seasons now with no issues. Simply replace the weights and spring with the nytro setup and good to go.

    2015 - Lineup Streamlining?

I think this 2015 release is all part of chassis streamlining. The reason we are not seeing a phazer and apex motor in the srv chassis is because there is still too much phazer and apex inventory still sitting around in showrooms and warehouses. This 2015 lineup release buys one more season to...

What Have You Done To Your Nytro Today ?

Installed oft relocation. Went to change exhaust doughnuts that I thought we're leaking... Only to discover the clutch side flex pipe was cracked. Booooerns! Flex pipe ordered from port yamaha... Copper doughnuts ready to go back in.

Nytro riders what does your significant other ride?

Mine rides a phazer. 2008 base model to be exact. She loves my nytro because she finds it more comfortable but says it it too hard to steer. I lover her phazer because after 100 miles of muscling the nytro around on the trails the phazer feels effortless to ride. She does lover her phazer too...

    Magnaflow Under Tunnel Exhaust Install

Slowey Looking forward to that step by step on the install. I am going to wait until the spring to do mine. Dont want to interrupt a good season so far. Plus I still want to install some extrovert drive sprockets at the same time. Good luck with the install!

What Have You Done To Your Nytro Today ?

Just came back from an overnight ride from Sault Ste. Marie to Elliot lake. Trails were amazing and the powder on the hydro lines was even better! It felt like I was out in the mountains climbing some of the hills north of Elliot lake. Sadly I noticed that I need extrovert drivers. Track was...

    Magnaflow Under Tunnel Exhaust Install

Please let us know how this exhaust works! I have been contemplating the same design for my xtx. I am considering mounting the muffler higher in the opening using a raised block off plate to get more track clearance. There was a thread about this setup and they had issues with clearance using a...
