Todays temp in NWO was -28c/-18f this morning. I and three of my riding group braved the cold and headed out on our local chain of lakes ride this morning and we covered over 100 miles, Our area lakes ice is thick and safe with a few ice ridges that need some cautious attention but otherwise...

    Gap Flasher Location

I am curious how and where everyone is mounting their Gap flashers. I have been tie strapping mine just in front of the chaincase reverse actuator but last year it migrated too close to the heat from the exhaust and actually melted its casing a bit...fortunately it still works fine but now not...

    Adjustable Fuel Pressure regulator questions

I have installed a TD adjustable fuel pressure regulator on my header tuned SW as I found it to be running a little high AFRs at wfo. First Mechanical Failure

We have some snow on the ground so I pulled the sleds out of the "Boat Barn" this past week, fired them up and did a bit of a ride around our property. My Wife's 600 Vmax fired up and ran flawlessly as always, the Attak rolled over a couple times and fired right up and idled and ran like new...

    Spring Maintenance all done

I just completed spring maintenance on my SW and put the sled away ready to ride next winter. Feels good to have it all done. I had most of the sled dismantled to check bearings, bushings, hoses, clamps, wiring ect ect. I was amazed at how good every thing looked and never found anything that...

    Winder Days

We just did a 300 mile return day trip this week on flawlessly groomed trails to Yellow Bird Lodge in Sioux Narrows Ont. We were four SideWinders strong 2 tuned 2 stock. The sleds ran flawless with numerous multi mile 100+mph stretches on the groomed lake sections. Even in the company I was...

    Local Snow Drags

We had local pretty casual snow drags here yesterday. Was a 660' groomed track with a good safe runout on the lake with very little base so studs were needed to be competitive in the improved or mod classes. Sleds were teched as best as could be done. Stock Turbo Finals no studs: 137" SW number...

    On the Lake

Was on the lake today with a Doo Gade 900r. Anytime anyone I know does perf improvements they call me out to compare against my poor SW! The 900R has ECU/Clutching Improvements/suspension setup/studded Rip Saw 2 1 1/2" track addition ect. Honestly it performed really well...I actually really...

    Boost not returning to zero

This is more of a nuisance and a curiosity then anything else and I wonder if anyone else is experiencing it. My 2019 SW shows .6 PSI on Boost gage after shutdown. On Diagnostics mode with engine off the Baro pressure and Map sensor pressure readings vary significantly...hence the boost having a...

    Finally some enforcement!

In NWO for the last few years the OFSC has elliminated trail wardens and the majority of people have been riding our trails without trail passes. Well finally the OPP have started intercepting riders and handing out fines for no trail passes, registration, insurances ect. I live close to the...

    My First SideWinder Problem

Well I have finally encountered a maintenance issue[first one] on my 2019 X-TX LE. The sled spent the last week or so outside and the temperature today was -34C/-30F. I fired it up and let it warm up to normal operating temps then drove it into my heated shop. After a few hours I went out to...

    Gotta Love these Sidewinders!

Snow is pretty good in our area...playing in the snow on the 240 selection...never need, or even select, the 270 or 300 settings! 100 mile ride and the sled as always ran flawless. Every time I ride my SW I like it more.

Gotta Love These SideWinders[I guess Tcats too]

We are lucky here in North Western Ontario and have a relatively early snow so I have been riding my XTX-LE in the fields and on my acreage. I have been reflecting on the absolutely incredible seamless Power these sleds produce. My sled is no where near stock the same as all my sleds have ever...

Looking for opinions on Header for trail riding

Looking for opinions from people that have installed a header on their 998s. Was it worth it? Would you do it again for trail riding or stay with stock manifold?

    Pre-Season Maintenance findings

I am currently in the process of changing my SW engine oil and doing a chaincase inspection. A few seasons ago I installed Scott Taylor 15 wide top and bottom forged gears as well as a thin spacer on the top gear to prevent side motion. I use Red Line synthetic 75W90 gear oil After a full season...
