Careful using BDXs weight numbers. For instance that lightweight brake rotor weighs the same as a factory 15 Vipers. But the new BDX “SUPER lightweight” brake rotor weighed 1lb 2.4oz less than that factory rotor which I’m pretty sure is what’s on our Sidewinders. I think they are comparing to...
The flotation on the 16 ski is much better than the 15. But if i was going to spend money I'd look at the 18 Sidewinder ski. I really like it, seems to be better all around than the 16.
Also if I had it to do over again I'd do 36" right from the start and not waste time on a 38". But very...
My guess, at BEST, you'll pay MSRP of $450ish for one now. Skinz has been in the process of moving for the last many months and supply is basically non-existent. I had one on back-order since September, got tired of waiting and cancelled my order 2 weeks ago. I remember seeing them for...
There has been several Arctic Cat guys do the conversion on Snowest.
I know TKI will sell a belt drive for the Viper that will drop the driveshaft to allow for 8tooths. I was told 12 hours of time to do it. I also know there are kits to swap in a chaincase. I'm guessing the same or more time...
It will fit. The Skinz seat comes up higher than the factory 18s around the gas filler neck so some trimming is required of the panels. I don't have pictures but have seen one installed. If Skinz ever ships me mine I'll snap some pictures.
Mines below that steering brace. I’ve never had a problem. I also know of a couple more mounted there. All MTXs in the mountains. All without an issue.
I had a problem a lot like that. The first day I had it out. I noticed it mostly when coming down a hill and letting off the throttle. It would completely die. If I kept a little throttle into it I wouldn't have an issue. I tried upping the idle fuel on my gems but that didn't help. Then I...
We have one at work that's been geting alot of use lately. I have a coworker who seems to think that he's my boss. But he ain't. So here is abit of a conversation that takes place many times a day.
Me: I really ought to strangle that whiney little son of a female dog after I shove that...
I just got mine back from the dealer. $3700 and a little change. Rolled down a hill but didn't hit a tree. That 3700 was pretty much all plastic and it was only something like 500 for labor. But if I would have dinked around I think I could have had it ridable for under a grand pretty easy...
Well it's getting fixed. The Yamaha shop had an estimate that came to $4,470.03. They claimed that my sled still booked at $9,000. Insurance adjuster showed up at the dealer looked at the sled and approved the claim. Now I'm just itching to get it back to possibly get out west again before...
