Thank you for asking this question, as I have just installed a MBRP header and muffler. I adjusted the fuel in the diagnostic mode. Techs tell me it's good for low and mid range; should I be concerned with top end?
Love the looks of the A/C and new Viper! Not to happy about the white tunnel...will be a bugger to keep clean.
Can't wait to have some luggage space! Would like to see those new ski's on there. COBRA 1.6 TRACK!!!! Yahoo!!!
Hopefully Yamaha kept its clutching and chaincase. A/C...
I'm looking to install a super-q slip on onto my 2011 xtx; I already have a MBRP header on the sled...do I have to install a programmer if I have both components on?
What are the signs that I need a programmer?
I have a stock ripsaw and found that the dupont slides wore the rubber on the unclipped sections. I clipped the whole track of the summer; what a world of difference.
Caution: Be ready to use the brakes, You will coast a long ways. Those sliders are greased lightening on a fully clipped track.
me learn english good...geez
I have found pouring warm fluid, whatever is available at time, on the relay works well. It saves a guy the pain of removing that relay when its -30. Doo, Poo and pussy riders will jump at the chance; but peeing on the relays will work; I didnt complain to...
I should state that the etec used more but still had lots left, thanks to that 40 litre tank. Yamaha should really put a factory 40l tank on.
I worked it out...14 mpg...not bad for a big guy ridin hard.
I was blown away with the mileage that the turbo cats got...terrible for a 4stroke.
Went out last weekend and had to walk my sled to the pump...its was that empty. 96 miles or 153k and took 28.2L. Average speed was 80mph. I thought that was damn good.
The 600 etec w/ 190p rider took 1 litre more than me; and I'm 300+.
That 1.75 Track will really cut into the mileage...
WHAT THE HELL!
The only changes for the nytro are skis, track and a cooler...This sucks! Those boys, in the development office, need to pick up their socks; they are getting left behind.
WE WANT SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT! A FACTORY INSTALLED TURBO AND CUT 40LBS.

I used plumbers puddy around the front bumper and nose cone. I then put duct tape on the vent down by the oil tank and used black urathane on the front side. The vents on the side panel where covered up with black womens stockings...old lady was mad, buddies poked fun; but they work great.
Don't do it, they're garbage. Apart from not kicking up enough snow to make an difference, they don't last, and will break off after a few weeks. Total waste of money.
I agree with nfld - those things are junk. Waste of $100
I removed my front boogie wheel to install the old fashioned...
I also have the y-p-y in my xtx; I do have stock rollers and weights. I mostly ride trails. I love the lower engagement and the lack of engine braking.
Yukon. - What was the orginal weight of your RATS? Mine came at 67.1g; did you shave off 6 grams to start?
Ideally I would love to see the Yamaha Rat weights at 60g to start. That would really make a nice adjustable weight.
I really dont see myself headed to the mountains anytime sooon; but is worth buying a turbo for low land riding. Does anyone ride a turbo Nytro xtx on low land? What are you seeing for top end? Reliablility issues?
