    2008 Nytro with a 2012 Vector gauge

can't comment on getting rid of the eps light, i have never tried or heard of anyone else trying. bought mine from a member on here that made his own mount from plastic, (might have been from another dash panel but i would have to look at it again) very similar to the one in the tech facts if i...

    How will my Nitro Compare?

dont beat urself up over buying the 08. im haply with mine. the grizztracks gusset kit for the subframe will be stronger than any 09 and up stock one. seems to be preference but some like the 08 geometry with modded ball joints better than the 09 and up. aside from that is preference like...

    Heat exchanger removal

Nope, with all that out of the way when u lift up the rear u can get right in there to weld on it. All the front end is still untouched

    Heat exchanger removal

I have had a couple welded in the machine. Dropped the suspension, tore down the chaincase to get the track and drivers out of the way, just raised up the rear of the sled with a chainfall.

    Vector EPS Gauge Mod

Nytro dies as soon as throttle is touched

I would also guess wiring rub throughs also. When it was running were the grip warmers working? may be a clue to if they are good or not. Wire rub throughs ive seen do like u are saying but usually would blow the ignition fuse like mentioned above. Dont think it would be battery, i have had a...

    DIY belt changing tool.

I had a similar piece, same cutout piece but welded a piece of pipe to the one side of it. That way u dont need the 1/4" bolt diging up the helix when u use it. The side with the pipe on it (only like an inch long) will push on the helix instead. I kinda agree with grizz on the simplicity...

    Extending questions

I have not had any direct comparisons, same sled and setup going from 121 to 128. I feel that that is only adding a little bit so gains would be small but they are there. If i were in a position that i was already spending the money on a track then i would go for 128 sinse u dont need a tunnel...

    JRE Sports?

Thought i remember when looking them up that u were suppost to use longer shocks along with them so u kept same ride height with increased travel. Guess even with longer shock u would have to check the compressed length, may still have the same problem. Glad i seen this as i have a set i have...

2007 Phazer RTX - Just found forum and am now terrified

My opinion, checking gearbox isnt bad idea but probably not needed as long as oil is at a good level. The not going into reverse easy without rocking the sled back n forth can be helped by setting the drive belt height a little lowwer with the shims on the back of the secondary clutch...

Possible Bent A-Arm and Tweaked Frame?

Not sure if there are others but ive seen barkbusters for them, probably not much for caster adjustment but pretty sure u can set length to adjust camber.

Possible Bent A-Arm and Tweaked Frame?

Unless u have aftermarket a arms the caster and camber are not adjustable. Spindle is mounted to non adjustable a arms. If u get ur a arm and frame straightened out then both sides should be the same, just use an angle finder to compare side to side.

Possible Bent A-Arm and Tweaked Frame?

Agree with mountaintech. On a nytro i had a frame tweked a little and i was able to pry against the a arms with a bigh piece of square stock i had in the garage and it actually did straigten it out to be pretty close by measuring distances on a arms and an angle finder on the spindle untill it...

Possible Bent A-Arm and Tweaked Frame?

Where the shock goes down through the a arm should be close to centered from front to back, guessing urs is not. Check all of your a arm bushings, may be contributing some, but not all of it. If a arms are not bent then u may have bent your frame up front right where the a arms mount, it is...

Mechanical Power Steering for Nytro - MPS

I'm interested also, mine is an 08... I have some jre spindles I was planning on swapping this summer to try. Would them spindles be OK? as far as I know they use all of the other stock front end. Any idea when kits might be available?

    Thermostat

This is more from 2 smoke experience but im sure still true for our 4 strokes also, removing a thermostat isn't the answer. Theory is that it let's it flow through to fast and doesn't have enough time to dissipate as much heat into the coolant. Some people for summer drag racing I remember...

    Exhaust Recommendations

We put a mbrp on my brothers and was really loud,(actually looking g to sell it with about 5 miles on it) dunno how much gain cause I never clutched it for it but rpm did jump a bit so it did gain. Next we put the full hindle/hurricane setup on it, (header, silencer, airbox mod, programmer, and...

    Track for nytro

Thanks for the info. Probably will stick with ripsaw for hardback. Like the idea of the prestudded but from what I've seen so far on other people's sleds they still aren't quite the traction of a regular stud. Helps for icy hills/corners n stuff but don't quite cut it if u like holeshots...

    Track for nytro

thinking of the next track for my nytro, gonna be 136 x 1.5 lug. Have always liked ripsaw as I do alot of hardback and or marginal conditions riding but always had 1.25 lugs. Wanna have a little more off trail capabilities but still will be mostly hard packed riding. Can't decide between...

    Viper clutch on a Nytro?

I've swapped my dad, and my brothers vipers over to 8dn belts and didn't machine, just need to use the set screws/shims on the back of the secondary to set belt height
