I don't know of any shims that could change the a arm, so must mean moving the skis to a wider setting at the spindle

I agree there seems to be more wrap than usual on the stock setup. I have 4000 km plus a spare well used chain, so will try that once I get a gear. Where did you get the 45 tooth?

I found a thread where someone got this to fit , but had to remove material from the back of the adjuster. perhaps it was a well used chain.

I built a simple hitch and fastened to the stock bumper. I've been towing 3-400 lbs for the last couple of seasons with no problems. These sleds are built heavy. Just weigh it and compare to a new Doo or Polaris.
