500 & 600 motors are completely different. Go for the best. 600 triple Red Head, All Day ..... Will have a good sled for him to grow into. Also , that twin 500 is lean at part throttle. A young child can burn one tight quicker than you think. Ask me how I know .....

I believe it is a heavy velcro type material that you are referring to. They do seem to slide around some on the panel. Not really needed, that sidecover isn't going anywhere. It's good for tipple didgets all day .

I've been switching from my Vector to the 11 Apex this year . I had some close calls this year with fuel. Night and day different . I'm not used to 80-90 miles on a tank. I was also wondering if there is a problem , but guess it is what it is ! Gotta love those Apex's. But the Vector...

Cheep fix may be shimming the ski rubber at the back. This will lift the ski tips up. We also weld and bolt a steel "Smasher Plate" before the wear rod. On the single keel ski ,works for us

They are a good sled. Go for it. Plenty of suspension for a kid. Besides. They don't care!!! that's what my Kid told me one time. They are just happy to be on the flipper.

Of it looks good, it's good .I got a 2001 sxr ,06 Apex and a 10 Vector with original fluid in them. If you change it you may be chasing air locks.

Gonna be costly to run all year, but I finish out the year with the "Good Gas" on all my Piston equipment. I think it makes a huge difference.
