I removed my stock rack and left the hoses exposed. I left the plastic that sits on the top of the tunnel. It's held on with the Yamaha tie down rings that screw into the top of the tunnel. I got a small led tail light from SLP and mounted it on the plastic piece just above the snow flap...

I've had them on my Apex since new and got 3000 km on first set of sliders.

They are just under the running boards at the front and hang on a small bracket when not in use. They sit forward enough so lots of snow sprays on the track. I only have 2 bogie wheels and I got almost 4000 km out of my last sliders. Just a big steel spring... ;)!
I have a set of scratchers I got from Alpine Motorsports that mount on the running board under your feet. They work great. I'll see if I can find pictures.
I had to remove my Barkbuster front end kit because I couldn't steer any more. I think the teflon or whatever was in the Heim joints wore or fell out after about 2000 Km.
I tried replacing them with ones with grease nipples but there was not enough clearance and the vertical spindles hit the...
I have a Performance Lite, by TJ’s Sports. I get an occasional miss around 7000 RPM. Looking at an RB3 control module to fix it and add a few more HP.
I had the same thing happen with mine in deep snow. When the track is spinning it fires a ton of snow up the pipe end. Too much back pressure?
I cut the down turn off the exhaust pipe so its pointing almost straight back and then I mounted a plate ( the one yamaha used to stop the track...
After a little while you will automatically adjust for it and not let the gas off all the way unless you need to brake. I haven't kissed my hood in a long time but did a quite a few at first. :jump:
That's the project for this summer. I 'm not sure about what I'm going to do with the brake light. With a new bumper I''ll be almost 100 lbs less than when I started :jump:
I've done some work on mine...Stock motor
Timbersled A arms and front Fox Float shocks
Timbersled rear suspension and drop brackets
Mounatin Mod seat
TJ's under tunnel exhaust
About 90 lbs less than stock ;)!
I have stock skis and a barkbuster front end. My steering sounds the same as yours. I don't think it's the skis.
Would a looser limiter stap take some weight off the skis and make it easier to steer?
