    MPI Turbo Install Questions

It is definitely making contact. I checked the airbox again as it was fine before but I had to pull the box out of the boots slightly as it was rubbing on the steering column. The hood is resting on the airbox now as well (thanks!). I will shave the hood down further than I already did but I...

    MPI Turbo Install Questions

Installed a MPI trail turbo on my Viper and have a couple questions that I could use some help with. 1. AFR numbers are in the 11.7-12.1 range. I can't seem to get them down to the recommended 11.3-11.8 range. I set my GEMS settings to the early Turbo settings listed on MPI's site which helped...

    Any Viper fire issues?

Yamaha said good thing you have insurance. Oh well, I expected that since there is nothing left of the sled to look at. Bummed as I did like the way the Viper rode. Don't know that I can convince myself to own another one though. Will probably stick with my Nytro for awhile.

    Any Viper fire issues?

Filled up and drove 30 miles before it happened.

    Any Viper fire issues?

What I mean is, I looked down after smelling gas and found gas running down the sled onto my boot at an alarming rate. By the time I stepped off it was in flames. Two of us tried to put it out but it got out of control very fast and became too dangerous to keep trying. I just bought the sled a...

    Any Viper fire issues?

That is my 14 Viper. All I know is I had fuel on my boots and she went into flames when I stepped off to look. No idea what happened. Sad day.

I would do the plates if you plan on putting a lot of hard miles on. I have not had a problem with cracks in the two other sleds I put my ZX2 in with some sort of plate on the tunnel bolts. Have you put some miles on the skid yet, wonder how you like it?

    Can't Upload Pictures

Curious as to why there is no option to upload pictures in the misc classified section? Users are having to send PM's in order to view pictures of the items for sale. Yes, I know you can post the photos to a photo site and link them but was hoping to be able to upload like you can in the Yamaha...

Has anyone tried snowmobile ramps ?

Been using the Black Ice ramp from Discount Ramps for three years now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEYA6k7dVuI#t=149 I have the 96" version which now appears to be 94" on their site. Nice long ramp makes it easy to load and comes with good security straps to attach when loading and...

    ZX2 fix....

I believe that washer is a pretty thin fender washer and you can pick one up at the hardware. As long as the arm is not making contact with the rail and binding you should be fine.

    ZX2 fix....

I would pull the rear tunnel bolts. Should line up with the rear dropped.

AD Boivin ZX2 Durability & Performance Log

No. It is drastically reduced in the Nytro though. Now I only notice it f I am riding across a lake and the snow is hard and rutted. I wouldn't think it would be something that would all of a sudden show up. Have you checked your drive line?

    Fitting a 121" ZX2 into a SR Viper

Durability and comfort of the ZX2 are the reasons I use it. Durability being the biggest factor. I have somewhere around 35,000 miles on my ZX2. Only recently I have started to experience some failures with the shocks but am working through that. Otherwise in 35,000 miles the repairs have been...

AD Boivin ZX2 Durability & Performance Log

Thanks kinger. I spoke with Hygear and they feel pretty confident that this would resolve my issues with breaking the shocks. I will probably send them out in the summer. Hopefully the bugs are worked out with the setup now that they have done it a couple times.

That is what I like to hear! Still happy with the big bump performance after the change in setup with the shocks?

That is not bad at all. I also thought about getting custom Axis shocks but that will be big $$. guardrail, what kind of riding do you do? Curious to know how the new shock setup works in the big bumps?
