    Exhaust Donut Replacement Procedure

This 2013 Vector LTX has 17500Km on it (10,800 miles) (Touring), and it appears to me that the donuts were still good, will know once the new ones come in. Ordered new clamp bolts (had to put a propane torch to them to get them to break free (which technically anneals them and removes any...

    Exhaust Donut Replacement Procedure

Would be first time if they need replacement. I'm a touring rider, so I'm not expecting them them to be broken, unless this is just their end of life thru wear. I sprayed the clamp bolts last night, and may see about trying to undo 1 tonight.

    Exhaust Donut Replacement Procedure

So, if the clamps can't be rotated, everything seems tight, then the exhaust gaskets are likely still good? (2013 Vector LTX (17500KM (10,800 miles). Not so much room when you have the power steering unit in the way. Pulled it apart to inspect, as I sold the sled to my nephew. However, trying to...

CAMSO ICE Attak XT - 1.2 Lug Rubs Tunnel Protectors 2013 Vector LTX

I haven't, as the XT has a lug height of 1.2 compared to the stock 1.25 lug. With the picks I'm about the same height as 1.25. I guess I'll see next winter, but I'm pretty confident that I should be ok as the Web will hit the tunnel protectors, the way the track is designed. But thanks for the...

CAMSO ICE Attak XT - 1.2 Lug Rubs Tunnel Protectors 2013 Vector LTX

Based on how lugs are paddles, I think it will be a great track. the Camso rep replied, said he has ridden this track and it is great.

Adding Grease / Zerk fittings to Steering knuckle - Vector / Apex

Nice. But based on your GPS mount, clearly you are more skilled than I at drilling and fabricating. Mine were in rough shape, had to jig them into the drill press to sand off the rust. Now I'll just pull them either every season or two. My buddy with the 2010 said his were in good shape compared...

Front end bushings - Ferrous vs oilite

Interesting, as this was the wear on the main shaft up in the tunnel (LTX-2013), from the stock bushings. appears to me that the stock yamaha bushing are a bit harder that the aluminum shaft.

Oil Change Reminder reset - How?

I've searched the FAQ, no luck. I searched the Tech Corner, no luck. I've entered several combinations of oil, reset, code in the search, no luck. Yes, I've gone to the Diagnostics screens, gone to both 61 and 62, both are now 0. my codes are d24 off, d06 17, d05 19, d04 100, d03 99, d01 16...

2010 Vector skid - is something missing?

Here is my skid back in, powder coat front swing arm, paint rear swing arm. Note, to get the skid back in, I ended up putting the sled on its side (3 people was good for this), as I gave up fighting the track and spring while the sled was up-right. Used a small jack to open the tunnel just...

2010 Vector skid - is something missing?

Just curious, but why didn't you use the same size boogie wheel as the front out side pair in the rear spot? Also, any reason you can think of to not put the same pair of wheels as next to the Transfer Rod in this rear location, as seen in the red sled?

2010 Vector skid - is something missing?

Ya, I'd consider sand blasting and powder coating that all of that skid. The 2010 LTX I ride with looks new compared to that skid, even with 8500KM on it.

2010 Vector skid - is something missing?

What Catman said. Neither a 2010 or 2013 (like this skid) LTX has wheels there stock.

2010 Ltx - what to look for when buying

OK. you win, a bigger major servicing than mine. I expect to have to replace all the front swing arms bushings in the next year or two, as it looks like a few thou of wear. I also found that the bushing material is harder than whatever aluminum yamaha uses for shafts. this is the wear on the...

CAMSO ICE Attak XT - 1.2 Lug Rubs Tunnel Protectors 2013 Vector LTX

Ok, no issue. Tonight I pulled the track tight and back with a strap, and the track clears the square tubing on the front heat exchanger.

    GPS mount CNC machined

Very nice. Suggest you consider how you will run the 12v power cord to it, to keep it working when sledding north of Kirkland Lake, with the cold.

    Thinking of getting 2010 Vector

2010 our group was 5 Ski Doo 600 SDI, and 1 Yamaha Venture. After popping my 2nd piston in 3 years on the SDI, just south of the Abitibi Canyon, I finished the trip on the 2010 Apex. The next year another Ski Doo piston, the year after another. 2012 we were 4 Yamaha and 1 Ski Doo, and the last...

    Thinking of getting 2010 Vector

The relay can be a problem in the very cold - as in up north in Ontario - PA can't get cold enough. We had a trip up around Cochrane and Kap (northern Ontario) where every morning the temp was -25 F. Every morning we had to get the hair dryers pointed at the fuel solenoid. We went sold state -...
