Good news. 24 hours on the trickle charger did the trick! Sled fired right up with no codes. We made several long stops last night and it fired right up every time.
Yeah, thats prolly what I will end up doing. I've had good luck with trickle charging bringing batteries back from the dead in the past, so I am starting there.
Hey all,
Two seasons ago I snapped my collarbone and was awarded a titanium plate and seven screws as my prize for doing so. Last season was a horrible snow year, combined with everything being shut down due to COVID and my shoulder still not being 100% , I didn't ride at all. The sled has been...
Sorry to disappoint anyone looking for a revival of this thread/build.
The sled has moved to a new home. I broke my collarbone riding at the end of last season (requiring surgery with a plate & 7 screws) and my shoulder still doesn't seem right. Between not being sure if I'll even be able to...
We'll see what ends up happening. We got way too much snow here way to early and the frost and lakes are fubar. nearly every single trail around here relies on lakes and swaps, so there isnt any riding, which equals zero motivation to work on any of the sleds.
This coming weekend I plan on...
Yup, you're always gonna loose money on toys, but that's why they are toys and not investments! I didn't build her for a profit or to sell, it was to do it right and have fun while doing it, expecting it to be a long-term deal.
I did a lil digging after my last post. 5K seems a lil heavy...
:dunno:
I dont even know. I just made the mistake of pulling up my spreadsheet on how much I sunk into this thing. Why do I even make those! I paid 3300 for the sled IIRC and I dumped another 3,300+ into it before I stopped adding things up as it seems some things aren't on the sheet. I guess...
No progress at all to be honest. It came home from the trip out west and is sitting in the same location untouched. Even my trail sled is sitting in the corner of the garage, ski-less and collecting dust. To be completely honest I have no idea what my plans for it are. It desperately needs a...
The GTs have them. They are part numbers 8GK-775621-00-00 and 8GK-77562-00-00
I already have that other clutch, that has been machined to fit, I just didnt know what spring or spring position to use, or if the helix would work.
Meh. It wasnt so bad. I was expecting to spend some time in the garage. I was able to ride 3 days, and it was a blast when I was able to get out.
Glad we rented the place we did. Heated 3000 sqft shop with full access to all tools and an apartment above. The owner is one of the coolest guys...
Spent almost the entire trip watching the crew leave and staying back chasing coolant and oil leaks. Today is our last day here. I got a full day of off trail riding.
Vid from the other day of trail riding hitting a herd of elk:
ugh, you guys a killing me! The closet dealer that had one in stock was 3 hours out of the way. I'm trying to order one and have it shipped to our destination but even that is proving difficult.
EDIT:
Cannon, are you saying you got away with taking it off and reusing for a few years before...
Thanks Allen! My table was based off barometric, I just figured that since I will never ride at a lower elevation than where I live (14.5'ish) I would skip those lower values? I suppose it makes sense to not start at zero since that's impossible. Your tables are much more detailed than what I...
I didn't just "bolt these on and go"? I have a starting point map. 330 to 550 is +40% increase, so I started with -38 and have my auto-tune toggle switch on. It actually runs okay right now. I intend to try and spend some time out west doing so full throttle runs and flipping the switch off to...
I completely ran out of time to try and tune my Phazer turbo project before a trip out west. I made every effort to try and have it dyno tuned, calling every place in the 4 state area to try and get it in. I am basically SOL and have to leave with just my best guess for mapping.
It has one of...
Welp, all 8 sleds are loaded into our two trailers. My Viper and Phazer are the only Yami's in the group. We have 4 Ski Doo and 3 Polaris sleds for the core of us that ride. As you can imagine, the fat jokes directed at my sled(s) never end with this group.
After I got home from...
