No talk about the VK Pro II?

The Bearcat is ridiculously expensive, especially the Pantera version. Really, Cat should be selling themselves as a budget discount brand, not charging a premium. I wouldn't want to pay that kind of money to be part of Cat's test fleet. Been there, done that, and I'll never buy another first...

    VK PRO 2016 !

Well, I decided I couldn't wait for 2016, I needed a sled this spring, so I just bought an Expedition 900. But if not for that I'd have picked up a VK, the Swiss watch of snowmobiles.

No talk about the VK Pro II?

If you get a chance, please let me know your impressions. I know that I won't see one this spring, and I'm planning on spring ordering something, either a Skandic or a Viking. I think the Skandic would be a little better in the snow, and the Viking more reliable. I found the Skandic more...

Adding the front rack to the VK Pro

I wonder why they stopped making them? I noticed that today when looking at parts for the 2016, but I assumed that they just hadn't made one for the new cab yet.

    I'm kind of tempted.

    Nytro vs 1200 doo

Depends on what you want it for. I know a plain jane Renegade 1200 absolutely sucks in the snow, but a Nytro with a 1.25 Ripsaw is not that impressive either. For me the advantages of the 'gade are the full sized gas tank and real gauges, as well as decent storage options.

09 nytro xtx how many miles

Over 17,000 kms on mine, and I can always count on it to get me home, but the chassis is getting pretty worn out. All the linkages in the skid are pretty sloppy, it needs a new front shock, I've already replaces the rear shock, and the front end is worn out even though I've put in oillite...

    Nytro vs Vector

That's too bad about the exhaust clearance issues. I still haven't gotten around to doing an under tunnel conversion, despite having the stuff to do it for a couple of years, but the Nytro has officially been delegated the komatik pulling, wood hauling duties, so I'd really like to open up the...

Removing tunnel protectors for track clearance

That's a shame. I don't know why people recommend doing that, as it's completely unnecessary, and means that if you, or the person you eventually sell the sled to, ever wants to stud it it will be a much more expensive and complicated procedure. I don't think it would've been necessary to do...

    Nytro vs Vector

More versatile? There's nothing the Vector can do that a Nytro can't, other than go further than 160kms on a tank of gas. But there's a ton of things the Nytro can do that you won't be doing on a Vector. It's an incredibly versatile machine, and really the Nytro's strength is that it is such a...

Anything BUT those cable ones that mount on the a-arms. What a waste of money those were.

Bent radiator - what to do?

That's what I was going to suggest. Get rid of it, it doesn't seem to do anything anyway.

    oil light flashing?

That must be unique to the Vectors? My Nytro has never done that. My nytro will occasionally flash the oil light on start up when really cold, but that's it.

    GPS recomendation ?

The Montana is an awesome unit, and the only thing I don't like about it is the touch screen. I'm sure you'd get used to that, though, and all the guys running Cain's Quest use Montana's, so they must be good to use even in the winter. I've got a 276, which is no longer available, but there...

    Guess what I bought today..

I've been wearing a tekvest for over 10 years, and like others have said, I feel like I'm missing something if I don't have it on. Tekvest's last forever, so with a small investment you'll have a piece of safety gear that will last you years and years.

    homemade sled dolly

yep, I could tie mine together pretty easily, but I wouldn't be able to roll my sled in from outside, as my garage is higher than my driveway, and my driveway is not paved.

Help with decoding of YVX-secondary clutch parts... ??

Where are you going when you get there? I clicked on snowmobile tech info and it brings me to snowmobileworld.com and a list of specs of Yamaha sleds, not tech information like helix's and clutch springs.

    20,000km Club

My Nytro has over 17,000 kms on it. Hope to see 18,000 before the end of the winter. I don't expect I'll ever see that showing on the clock of my Arctic Cat.
