    Grinding mystery ???!!

Did you make sure the two top gears were pushed together right when reinstalling. Something may be loose in there. Ms

    Grinding mystery ???!!

This is gonna be an ‘easy’ fix or a ‘not so easy’ fix. -On the ‘easy’ side- is the loose track rubbing on the front skid arm - on the steel guide on the top? Like slapping on it. - any chance (assuming it’s a 137) you didn’t install the rear shock carrier properly and it’s dragging on the...

Barn of Parts New Driveshaft Solution

As for the brake - I have got in the habit of just splitting the caliper when messing with the drive bearing. Something that helped me immensely was pulling the brake handle and wiring it to the bar. That way the fluid doesnt drain out of the line while its apart for a few hours or days. It is...

Barn of Parts New Driveshaft Solution

All those areas are pretty much annual 'checks'. These sleds are capable of logging some good miles, but all these areas need to be checked constantly. My friend let his upper gear go for 2 seasons, things were so sloppy that the reverse chain appears to have jumped a tooth and got on top of...

    turbo whine

When my sled was new - the turbo made a very distinct whine on shut down. Not a smooth whistle, almost gnawing sound. It was definitely noticeable. Having not been around turbos I didnt think much of it, until my sled was beside my friends Winder, which was dead silent on shut down by...

    Knockout kit

Overtime the grease will get beat up - oil will likely work its way in, diluting the grease over time. When i have serviced this bearing I would pack the splines with heavy grease before reinserting the assembly. It helped dampen the noise and keep the metallic sound down - for a bit. This kit...

    SRX Fuel caddy????

Skies the limit - I use the Up North Technologies rack and use the Linq system for fuel cans. Works flawless. MS

    Stub shaft

I have had a few stub assembly's out and they can corrode in some areas - around the inner housing and even in the inner part of the shaft with the splines (like your pic). Take some time while its apart and clean them up with a small wire brush. On the housing, i used the grinder with wire...

    No suspension in skid.

The lower end of rear shock in the 137 is held up by two brackets - a carrier of sorts. When you have the skid out it can flop down, before you install you must make a point to ensure its perched up holding the shock high- not low

    Stub shaft

Also -when reinstalling, I pressed the bearing into the housing. Then pressed the housing (with bearing) onto the shaft. MS

    Stub shaft

It has to be pressed on in the proper order. Make sure the orientation of the seal is correct as its magnetic (dont put it on backwards). If my memory serves me - i used two 1/2" plates when reassembling to sandwich things when putting on. MS

    2022 Battery issues...

Spoke to a friend of mine who has several ski doo sleds - all within 3 yrs. He has had battery issues on all of them and had them replaced. They were YUSA batteries. Makes you wonder if there has been a design change or a flaw. My battery is from 2018 and is still strong as ever. MS

    Woody's Slim Jim's vs Slim Jim 2.0?

They went from a single piece of metal being bent to form the twin keels to welding two separate keels on a plate. They say it’s more durable with this kind of construction. I have run them on my c and a’s and nothing but good things to say. they have been touGh and durable and I have clubbed...

Getting rid of the roll over valve

I have replaced the seal twice. The final time I used the right stuff from permatex and it has held up well. The bypass tube is the best and easiest way to deal with this. Look on the bright side, it beneficial to clean the oil tank right out once and awhile Ms

2022 Sidewinder ltx eps - getting rid of push

Some sleds when ski pressure builds and it high sides, it can be quite managable. I find the procross quite the opposite. It fights highsiding and when it flips up it can be almost violent - where there is little to no control. The trek carbide looks interesting. Would love to hear some...

2022 Sidewinder ltx eps - getting rid of push

Cant speak to a sled with power steering. My friends sled with the XPT's and triple points has a few turns in from loose with the centre shock. After riding his - IMO it needs a bit more as i find the steering a bit harsh. The skis can feel too rooted. But - like you said, start with it loose...
