After 19,000km my stock seat seems too soft and low.
Especially after trading up with some friends Vipers.
Anyone have one and want to sell? I'm in Ontario, shipping could work.
The clutch sheaves on my nytro are shot after 18000km.
I have a good condition vmax 700 clutch, looking at the fixed sheaves they similar, but you can see the moving sheave has been beefed up at the webbing/gussets on the nytro.
Curious to know if anyone's used a 2 stoke clutch with success...
I'm curious to know if anyone has put a heated seat element in their Nytro seat.
I've been debating it, and you can get the generic kits online for real cheap. The wiring is no issue for me.
Cheers,
My clutch needs machined this year, and been debating clutching it for some time now.
I've been told the 2-speeds with 14.5mm rollers and the black spring is a great setup, but I also know heavy hitters work very well (experience from srx700).
Does anyone have experience between these two on...
Hit a rock tonight, add me to the bent subframe club.
Was doing about 10kmh but stopped me dead in my tracks.
Left ski is now about 3-4" back from the right, and the shock is about 1/4 from hitting the backside of the upper arm.
Sled pulls to the left and anything over 70kmh doesn't feel right...
Currently running the tuner skis with the 6" square on the inside of each ski, and a 2" round on the outsides.
Does anyone know what steering effect it will have if I switch the carbides so the square is on the outside and the round on the inside of ski?
Reason is, the rounds are wore about...
Was doing a 2000 point inspection on my sled before our RAP tour starting this weekend, and when I pulled off the belly pan this guy popped out.
It was stuck in the belly pan area, its hard plastic, and looks like a cap or cosmetic plug from somewhere.
1st one to guess it correctly wins!
I know the 2013's came with separate thumb and hand warmer controls....so you can go UP or DOWN rather than the silly "to the top to reset back to the bottom".
I wonder what would be involved with this conversion.....My 09 XTX has a "Blank" cover plate over where the switch would be...
I installed the tuner skis last year on my Nytro and love em. Handling is awesome now.
Only issue is my steering is heavier. It really doesnt bother me, other than when I swap sleds for a friends apex and realize how light their steering is, its sooo nice ;)!
I have gone with the 6...
As the title says I'm thinking of doing this as an extra day on our sled trip.
We usually stay a night in North Bay, but I was thinking we could say 2 nights there and do the RAN loop the one day and see some new sights.
The route I have made is start in North bay, then to Vermer, Key...
Just though I should post this in here for you MTX folks who may only check this section out and not the shorty/XTX one.
I put this DIY together last week and maybe some of you guys who have the rattle can benefit from it too. It pretty much covers every angle to remove the clutch rattle...
APR-20-2017 EDIT
There are no pictures as Imageshack has deleted my account in their changeover. I'll re-upload them once I get around to digging into this again.
To sum it up the loctite/bearing retainer method was only a temporary fix, rattle came back after a few rides. I have an idea for...
I have read that a few people around here recommend using the 1.450" Megabite stud from Woody's. They bite really hard being a little longer with no tear outs.
I plan to do a 3-3-2 pattern of singles, which result in a 152 studs. I mostly trail and lake ride. Stock Ripsaw 1.25" track...
Hey guys, I blew my shock apart last weekend on our RAP tour, and now it needs a recharge. What happened was the remote reservoir got slammed down and caused the rubber hose to twist and loosen the fitting..leaking out all my gas/fluid in the shock.
Seeing as the shock needs a recharge now...
A friends apex broke down today in the middle of the trails. Fuel pump relay was clicking but the pump wasn't running and it had no crank. Pulled out my iPhone and searched some ty4 pages and came across a thread where someone had a similar issue...the white ground block near the primary...
On the third day of our sled trip now, and last night coming into North Bay I heard a loud slapping coming from under my track. Tore my front 2 limiter straps...not very happy. It would have been fine if the only damage was to the limiter straps, but once the straps broke, it allowed my rear...
Hey Guys,
Planning our sled trip here and we will be coming down from North Bay one day and looking to stop somewhere between NB and Haliburton (Halls lake to be exact).
Anywhere ideas where to stay just south of Huntsville for 3 sledders? Looking around that area.
Hoping to drive up there this weekend for a day trip. Interactive trail guide says they are all green, can anyone confirm? Anyone with suggestions on where to park truck and trailer, and where a good day trip to/from would be, please comment! Thanks
I have no idea, I'm just curious.
To be honest, with stock ski's and these carbides I think the sled handles great!
With my ski's off, should I flip the rubber and shim them?
Maybe handling can be better...Do I just flip the rubber 180deg?
I have also taken a pic of my lower hole to...
