That doesn't sound right for sure. My 2013 TF has started every time, reliably, since new. Sorry I'm not an expert so can't comment further.....

Another thought I don't see mentioned above: what's the repair cost of aluminum vs. carbon after an encounter with a tree, trailer, buddy, etc, etc..... my guess is mucho dinero....

I replaced the rear grip warmers on my 2006. As it turned out, the problem was the element itself (broken wire), not a fuse/relay. The stock Yamaha ones are a bit flimsy. Maybe check that.

Sounds like a great deal to me! As stated above, steering effort is very dependent on suspension setup, and also your skis. You'll have some tweaking to do, but it's a very comfortable sled afterwards.
