2015 RS Venture TF Darting NEED Help please!!

Double check my math, but your TF should have come with Yami mountain skis from the factory, not tuners? My 2013 did. Tuners came on the GT I think, not the TF. Maybe a previous owner switched? I’m currently running Studboy Duce and am happy, but may explore snow trackers in the future Just...

New 2021 Venture - Starting Question

That doesn't sound right for sure. My 2013 TF has started every time, reliably, since new. Sorry I'm not an expert so can't comment further.....

when are we going to see the carbon fiber sleds.

Another thought I don't see mentioned above: what's the repair cost of aluminum vs. carbon after an encounter with a tree, trailer, buddy, etc, etc..... my guess is mucho dinero....

Inexpensive Navigation system - Garmin Nuvi

Great idea, thanks! I use my tablet for boating also.

Inexpensive Navigation system - Garmin Nuvi

Yes, I do have the drone. Most all Ventures do from what I understand (my '06 did too). Try some active noise cancelling earbuds when you ride - they're like magic :-)

    2006 Venture passenger hand warmers

I replaced the rear grip warmers on my 2006. As it turned out, the problem was the element itself (broken wire), not a fuse/relay. The stock Yamaha ones are a bit flimsy. Maybe check that.

Inexpensive Navigation system - Garmin Nuvi

I've been using an 8" Android tablet for about 5 years. Benefits: plenty large, multiple base maps (street, topo, sat imagery, custom, etc), able to put any overlay you feel like generating on your computer ahead of time (trail system for example), customizable display, able to use for all...

Sled iPhone Bluetooth Remote for Helmet Speakers

https://www.chubbybuttons.io/ I got one of these last year and really like it.

    Bluetooth helmet speakers

After trying a couple different types of helmet speakers and being less than impressed, last season I finally tried a set of active noise cancelling earbuds. I'm absolutely sold! ANR makes such a HUGE difference. At the same time, I got one of these...

    "spare" juice available from stator?

Thanks again guys. A battery powered top and socks is what initially took me down this rabbit hole. However after doing some research it just doesn't seem like the batteries will last all that long (certainly not a full day, or even half day in most cases), so I started looking at various...

    "spare" juice available from stator?

Thanks gents. A headlight swap sounds like a good idea (regardless), and would save 30 amps. Not a lot, but every little bit helps. The clothing company sells a different mid layer that draws 5.5 amps and 75 watts (vs 7 and 96 in the coat I originally looked at), which would bring my total...

    "spare" juice available from stator?

Hi all, I'd like to get some heated clothing layers for the wife as a Christmas gift this year (probably from Warm & Safe). She rides 2up on the back of my 2013 RS Venture TF. The clothing would be wired direct to the battery, but I don't want to over-do it and end up with a dead battery or...

Attention grabbing title! <- no just some questions and pictures

Congrats Everlast, sounds like you've been making GREAT progress. And no doubt you've obviously been reading up about your new ride a lot, given all you've accomplished. I'll post here about my experience since I have the same machine as yours, with the caveat that I'm not an expert owner/rider...

    2016 RS Venture TF

I also had a set of Gen II on my 2013 TF. I really liked the extra flotation, but was disappointed with handling on the trail. I also found them somewhat difficult to steer, even with EPS. I've since switched to Yamaha mountain skis and Studboy Deuce bars, which offer a better compromise for...

    2016 RS Venture TF

Congrats on the new purchase. I've got a 2013 that has about 1000 miles on it now. First thing I noticed (after the dream of EPS) was the suspension was a lot stiffer than my '06 RS Venture. I now have everything loosened as soft as realistically possible, and it could still stand a little...

    Sugestions for a second sled

I have a 2003 Polaris 550 Fan 2-up that is my go-to machine for woods bashing, local off trail excursions, and general utility. When I toss the chainsaw on the back to clear the local forest seasonal roads, this is the machine I take. The ladies (wife and her friends) love it as it's not too...

    Replacement Ski's

Yeah, you may as well try new carbides first (though I switched to Yamaha mountain skis and Studboy Deuce 6" at the same time, so IDK how carbides alone would have improved the stock skis). It seems the general opinion on the forum is that suspension setup has as much to do with...

    2013 TF fair street price

Sorry Dave, can't help you with a qualified opinion on your asking price. However, I sent you a PM about your suspension setup you described in a previous thread. If you care to reply, it would be much appreciated...........

Question for those who own a RS VENTURE GT

If you're planning 200 miles/day, why would you want to get rid of the large stock windshield?

    2005 RS Venture Purchase

Sounds like a great deal to me! As stated above, steering effort is very dependent on suspension setup, and also your skis. You'll have some tweaking to do, but it's a very comfortable sled afterwards.
