Slydogs were darting too much and had too much tilt or pressure to the front half of the ski for my liking. The front of the actual carbide was catching. Heavy steering at slower speeds also.
30 miles on the tuners tonight. First off, thanks port yamaha. Helpful on the phone with my questions and after ordering at 2 pm they were at my door by noon the next day. The skis: darting on hardpack tonight all but gone. I'd say 90% gone. Sled feels like a normal machine now. Minimal...
Tuners going on tonight for this weekend. Update to follow. Slydogs were better but carbides are too abrupt at front ski attachment and hook train tracks, tar edges, etc...
Put the slydogs on tonight. Transfer rods as open as they can be for max transfer. Track tension perfect so no wandering in the skid. Front springs medium to light. Limiter has slack in it. -15 tomorrow am and a high of 0 so it may have to wait a day; I'm getting soft.
With the varying...
I have the control rods set for the most transfer. other than that and limeter loosening any other tips. also, what brand and size duallies are you running.
3rd season on my xtx. Darting was terrible at first so I shimmed the skis to put more pressure to the rear of the ski. Loosened up the front springs. Seemed to do the trick for the most part except in certain conditions such as hard pack or cold temps when the trails are really set up. I may...
I have owned more cats than I can recall and never worried about pounding the $#!% out of them. You guys have me so worried about the damned subframes that I avoid railroads and road approaches. There are numerous foul ups with my xtx nytros design. The ice build up even with a block off is...
First off, let me say I have overall really enjoyed my 12 xtx. It has been turn key so far. Power is great, fuel mileage is nice, and it is great skipping the injection oil. That being said, I would love a new viper for these reasons. Even with a block off plate the tunnel icing is an...
:rocks: I can't for the life of me find the install instructions for my xtx fuel caddy saddle bags. Anyone have some handy or know where I can get em.. Thanks in advance. Romie :4STroke:
XTX ride. Coupling issues????
I have noticed that the control rods don't seem to couple the rear and front until deeper into the travel compared to my last arctic cat. This seems to put the sled deeper into the travel while riding and of course, into the stiffest part of the travel. The...
Picked it up last week. Most excited I have been to ride in years. Can't believe how smooth this baby sounds at start up. Got the black one. Didn't recall the red threading in the seat, but it sure looks nice. Took it for a rip on the grass the minute I got her home. Have not owned a...
I rode a demo 2011 before ordering a nytro xtx. Gave up power for the stand up chassis. The apex motor was efi and it ripped. Keep in mind my last three sleds were 1000 and 800 cats. The apex was instant response and the power steering was sweet. If I was more trail I would have ordered it...
