    Kudos to Ulmer Racing!

I have the Ulmer clutch kit on my sled. I have been very happy with it. In fact, my friend happened to ride my sled with the clutch kit, and then switched to my wife's sled, which is the same sled without the clutch kit. He commented that my sled feels much snappier off the line and pulling...

Season over, 7k miles, what service should I do?

@Allan, how often do you change plugs? I'm just curious if that could have anything to do with it.

Season over, 7k miles, what service should I do?

Thanks. I didn't know about the wobble bearing and the gear issue, so I'm glad I asked. That's all right there when you service the bearings, so may as well do it all at one time, right?

    Vector to Viper Upgrade???

I went from an 11 Vector to a 15 Viper. I've put 7k miles on it in three seasons. The Viper has a much better ride, better handling, and overall I think it's a better sled. The fit and finish is definitely better on the Vector. The Viper panels don't fit well, and it's not well designed for...

Season over, 7k miles, what service should I do?

I have a 2015 Viper, and passed 7000 miles this season. Probably over 7500 after this weekend's final ride. I just put carbides on it, and the hyfax looks good. I have had a run issue, where when it's partly warm, it won't start unless I try many times. I think I need to replace the spark...

    Relocated the fuse box

this is a must-do! A few weeks ago, it was -14 when we went to ride. I started the sled, got it off the trailer, shut it off, and then it wouldn't start. The relay froze... gotta replace this thing before it happens again... but I digress. Because I had relocated the fuse box, it was easy to...

    Speedo Way Off

I had this issue, and the reflash fixed. No charge, pretty quick.

Help me make up my mind!!

I didn't add the studded track for performance. It's for safety in those icy corners or for stopping on the lake or icy road crossings. The pre-studded track does make it a lot harder to move the sled in the garage. Gotta put it on dollies or you'll wreck the floor.

And, I used an old worn track in the middle to keep the tracks and studs from damaging the wood floor.

    Trailer flooring ideas

I got some old plastic bed liners for free on CraigsList. In fact, I got three of them and several guys in my club have them too. I cut them into 7 inch wide strips with the circular saw and bolted them on. Work like a charm! And free!

Dilemma - Other half wants sled now

Try a Vector with Power steering. Great sled, good power, comfortable ride, and you can get a used one. They had power steering starting in 2012, so you can get a nice one for a nice price. I like bringing the GF along! It's nice to share the ride with friends and GF, and having a warm...

Canvasworks Snocap - your oppinion please

I have had a snocap on my trailer for about 10 years. I've been very happy with it! Last year, I had some zipper spots where the threads were coming out. I took it in to them and they fixed it with new zippers all around, new zipper pulls, and it took about half an hour. Cost like $75, and...

    2up seat for viper

I went with this one too. It is nice that it comes on and off so easily. It works great for my 11 year old to ride with me. It'll be nice when he can ride his own... next year! Anyway, it's great! And, I ordered it from a vendor in Canada (not sure who... google is your friend). The...

Help me make up my mind!!

I had the same concerns with my Viper. I don't want a studded track. But, in the interest of safety, I ended up fitting an Ice Attak track. After buying it, and selling my almost new stock track, it cost a little more than studs. But, you don't feel it there, don't see it there, and don't...

    Headlights

Is this only an issue with Rocks kit? I have not noticed it with the sledstart kit. Maybe I got lucky, or I'm just not noticing?

    Headlights

Can you please elaborate on this some more? I have the sledstart kit on mine. I love it. High and low beam work very well, and give a different pattern. My Gf has the Rock kit. She wanted it because it costs less. When I adjust it so that the low beam works well, it seems that the high beam is...

Sr Viper 2016 flash poll and Thread

I completely agree! I was thinking the same thing, which is why I was monitoring it. My first thought was that we had actually ridden much further than I thought... but that's not the case. As for it being the flash, my GF has a 2016, and I have the 2015. We both got the new flash at the same...

Sr Viper 2016 flash poll and Thread

That's another confusing thing. The distance is correct. The odometer matches the distance on the gps. Just speed is incorrect.
