I had mine painted 3 seasons ago and it still looks great. Auto body shop did it and it is all about how well you prep it. There is no paint that has worn off other than being scratched.
I have riding since 1971 and my kid started at age 3 on a mini-z, he is now 16. I got him a 08 Phazer RTX and it was the worst buy ever. After three years of trying to get the thing to handle and him always wanting to ride my Nytro we traded it in on an Ski-Doo XP and what a huge improvement in...
We went to Searchmont, Ont. on Sunday to ride upto Wawa. Lots of snow and the trails are great. Made it 30 miles from Halfway Haven and the driveshaft bearing went on the Nytro, so we had to turn-around. I recommend replacing those bearings every 3000 miles.
I have 5.7 on my Nytro and they are great on the trail and not bad in the loose snow, but I have 6.9 on my Ski-Doo and it will not turn in the deeper snow, maybe because the sled is lighter. I am going to but on Shaper Bar on the Ski-Doo and that should help. The Nytro is a much better sled with...
I have both sleds, an 08 Nytro stretched to a 136 with 5.7 pilots and a 2010 Renegade Back Country 600 e-tec. The Nytro handles so much better with the pilots compared to the stock skis, but nothing like the Ski-Doo and the e-tec is amazing, 1 pull every time warm or cold and it starts, no need...
Was that a 2011 Nytro, if so, there is no excuse, I would think that after 4 years they would fix it already. It was near zero this weekend so I left the Nytro in the garage and rode the Ski-Doo and had to turn the handwarmers on low. I will ride the Nytro again when the temps are back in the 20s.
Last weekend was the perfect conditions for ice and snow buildup in the tunnel with lots of powder to run in. It was the first time I ran with the new tunnel cover kit installed and it worked great. I had ice everywhere, but none in the tunnel, just at the rear at the snow flap. Last year...
Yes, the crooked river lodge is the best. The main north and south trail is across the street, but make sure you go west from their into the Harbor Trails as there will be less traffic and better snow. Also, make sure you have breakfast at the Brutus Camp Deli, which is on the trail about 2...
Yes, new skis. I also had the Phazer at the same time as the Nytro and I also gave up on the Phazer. I have Ski-Doo pilots on the Nytro and its like a different sled.
On the last ride in the spring of 2009 my oil filter blew out at the seam, leaked all the oil out. The light came on and the motor did shut itself down so the dealer thought it would be ok, as it seem to run just fine, but with only 50 miles or so into the next season it took out two rod...
A paint guy did the work, so I don’t know what paint was used, but they did spend time prepping the aluminum so the paint will stay. Did not remove the tunnel, just the seat and tank. I have two other sleds with factory black tunnels and the area under the feet that does ware but not that...
