Perhaps not for the snow just yet but nice to see.
On the other hand a Mercedes pickup is not called a Toyota... Or the VW taro a Toyota.. or the chevrolet a daewood..
A company does what a company can to pleas customers.. I say yamaha has done that! Instead of closing shop they found another way forward were we get great sleds
It's decent.. ice scratchers down and if it's hard packed you will get a dirtbike kinda feel with the track more "sloppy" than normal.. takes a few hours before it's normal
If you're blue, order a 2021 yamaha! I've been on an alpha for two years now and came from a summit 850.. you won't get a better sled. Keep those sales up and you'll keep getting blue... No need to be negative as they now have a sled for everyone!
Did they (Yamaha) not say a few years back that they were working on 10 new sleds over the comming 5 years (I'm not sure about the numbers) and that one was an all Japanese sled.. Kris Reid said this before he left??
I think actually small scale production is where we will see development. I'm thinking new plastics can be tried here (a arms, tunnels) even engine parts..
Also the news of f1 going for two stroke tec will help engine inovation.. a 600cc 160hp 300lb sled is what we will have in 10 years I'd say..
Im hoping for a Yamaha mountain, light as possible.. nytro with all mods that's been tested or new chassie, or sidewinder alpha don't care just something new to try...
Well to be in the sled game they need a sled in the mountain segment, only Scandinavia and Russia? got the mtx for 2020 so there should be some mountain news.. big or small but something..
Hoping to see these from Yamaha as well. Or just the phazer with all mods done to it and light weight..
Going to be an exciting wait to see what we get..
I think money (short term) has taken away alot of the old business strategies witch have layed the foundation for where we are.. I remember my neighbour who had a Yamaha dirtbike, and in His garage ge had a poster of all Yamaha bikes, merch and all kinds of Yamaha stuff.. I was 10 and he might...
From what I can tell they needed Arctic Cats volume/factory of off-road vehicles to make a bid for a defence contract, witch was lost, after that o guess it's a game of creating value with something no longer needed.. well at least that's what I know from investing in textron
