I always let them finance me, typically the higher the rate the steeper discount they will offer on the vehicle as they make points with the lender. I smile and sign. I just turn around upon receipt of the first bill and pay it off. A buyer for Enterprise rent a car taught me to do that years...
At 51 and less than a month after rotator cuff surgery I look at PS as a requirement these days. Currently on a Doo 900R but next year will be a PS Winder (80% sure) or currently (20% sure) a 858 CAT Catalyst in hopes the weight reduction allows me to handle it. The older you get that PS...
I remember this now. There was a misprint in the original books. Correct should be 1/4 to 1/2 turn. I always did the 1/2 turn. Some might remember more details of this. It was known at the time.
True but if I am Polaris with this news I am quickly trying to capture some of that market. Ski doo has all the sales they need, I would make the decision to support CAT and try and keep 3 alive. If down to two they will collude and we will all be less happy.
Some of your are lucky. I got a solid 140 miles in this year. Worst ever. We get one week in the UP and we can't change it as one friend has bid a year in advance for his time off. We got one day in. Then it rained for a day and half, then it froze to glare ice. Went home early. Next year...
I still keep my Procross but also have a 900T. The throttle is made to be flipped for finger control. I actually find it awkward now to use my thumb on any sled., Just turned 50 and have to concede that PS is becoming important. I hope other manufacturers come out with PS so I have choices.
Each manufacturer takes brand recognition and loyalty as mission critical. I don't see Cat worried about Cabela's stealing their brand recognition like they would with Yamaha. The problem for Yamaha is that without their quality reputation of their made in Japan units it opens doors for...
But does Textron think they need Yamaha? Cat (prior to Textron) sure did need Yamaha. Now cat has their own CTec's that are decent (not great) and I have to believe they have a 4stroke being built to do double duty in the ATV and Sled divisions. Anyway, just my opinion but I don't see Textron...
Personal opinion is Textron wants Yamaha gone as fast as possible. Yamaha sells sleds just to support their ATV dealers in the winter months. If Textron can force Yamaha out completely they can gain a little sled market share but also most likely get a bigger piece of the market they really...
Well just took a look at the 2024 release. Didn't see anything but BNG. No PS Viper, no catalyst (figured). I think the swan song has begun. You would think Yamaha would have enough pride to just shut it down and just supply motors at this point. Time fly's...with today's release it has been...
Got back from the UP (Munising area) on Friday. We were suppose to ride Monday to Sat and drive home Sunday, but called it on Thursday and drove home Friday. Usually get about 7-8 hundred miles in but this year 140 miles. When we left some riders were back out but when we tried Thursday it...
Didn’t realize you are from Ottawa. Ottawa is my home town. Work took me south of the border the last 18 Year’s. Lived in Osgood and Richmond my last few years. Miss riding from garage every night. You will enjoy the 900T. throttle is strange but took a day to be comfortable with.
It was all around pretty solid. Power/speed I would put it pretty close to my old Apex but I think in sport mode it would pull the Apex to 100mph. Suspension was exactly what we hear. Rmotion amazing but procross front far better. Seating and Ergo’s I preferred the Viper but not by a lot. It...
I came off a SR Viper and went to a 900T for this past winter. I would have went Sidewinder because I believe Yamaha engines are better and wanted the power. However, I just don’t have the time to deal with driveshaft issues, chaincase issue etc. I loved the chassis, the looks of the...
My understanding is Quebec has outlawed the powder wanna bees. They have no place except the mountains. Not enough snow anywhere else. Just a matter of time before it happens in trail country.
I have 1983 Tri Moto 200EK (Shaft drive). It was a little hard to start and kicked back sometimes when starting with the recoil. I broke down and replaced the starter clutch so I could start it easier. It hasn't helped. Here is what is happening and hope someone has some ideas:
1. It tries...
