I had to completely take the engine out of the sled....Take oil pan off the engine , water pump to get at the chain and gear to change the PTO...The PTO rubber pucks were shot....BIG job...I will try to post pics and vid..
Ok you guys...Go to any parts fiche...Look up the PTO.....You will see 5 rubber pucks the go in there...Big time slop when they are worn...IMO it also thro's out timing for oil and water pump,how's that................!!!!!!
Yes you have to pull the motor to change the PTO..The PTO also drives a little chain the makes the water pump and oil pump operate..If you look at a parts fische of the PTO the break down shows 5 rubber dampeners...I'am working on a 04 warrior were I was getting alot of clutch noise, with the...
If I can I will post a vid...The rubber pucks are bad in the PTO causing slop..And forget about changing out tho's pucks while the PTO is on the sled...IMPOSSIBLE..
Let me tell you guys something here..I replacing the PTO on one...OMG what a job...The engine is out and parts all over the place..Do this type of job in the spring time...I'am so screwed on this thing..
A lot of slop coming from it..Clutch moves back and forth about 3/8 of an inch...How do you service it.??? Yamaha shows replacement rubber pucks...The part # go's from 8FA to 8FP..Updated.. ?
