Stating that a machine will probably not go in to reverse 50% of the time is not a statement that applies to these sleds.
Obviously you have a big problem on your machine that needs to be corrected.
I bought my 2010 with 400 miles and dual carbides, best tracking sled I ever had. Thought it was because it was new and straight, factory adjustment on the alignment.
Went with single carbides next time and back to darting, Back to duals and strait as an arrow. I'm sold on duallys.
I just went from the 121 Vector to the 137, I'm happy with the Vector's position.
Although I'm curious on how much HP you thought you lost.
How do you compare the performance on the two?
Me too, now.
Do you do that with an inline?
It seems like with the inline most people start using the front ramps.
(Sorry, did not mean to get too far off the MPG point of the thread. Trailer shopping gets me scrambled. :-) )
My mileage is due to wind drag. Empty or two long track 4 strokes is the same.
I went shopping for an inline this weekend. I thought they were lower, but with the larger tires they are within a few inches, so height is not that big of deal. The foot narrow could be worth almost 20% in frontal...
Just to add my late numbers.
I get 7 mpg in a 5.3 Tahoe, pulling a two place enclosed.
And if I crank it up the mileage gets bad.
Two different Tahoes, same results.
The 6 speed is a bit better at towing though.
No kit or aftermarket parts needed, get Y-P-Y Spring for Vector - 90501-581L5-00. A quick 5 minute change on the primary and you will have a brand new ride.
One of the easiest changes and best result I've had in many my many years of sledding.
You can search the forum for the spring number...
I'm thinking this is question without a solid answer, way to many variables. "Normal trail conditions" alone could be a 3 page discussion.
Depends on your experience, comfort and knowledge of the area. I remember first jumping on a sled, going 45 mph thinking why would anyone every need to go...
OK, same thing I have next to the fuse box here?
So this wire already has a fuse in the fuse box for accessories?
I'll have to look again, but I don't remember seeing an auxiliary in there.

I have a Yamaha windshield that measures 23.5 from base to top, and 31.25 wide.
I believe this is the SMA-8FT96-30-BK.
(I know that they measure the "height" from straight down, not the length of the windshield, but this can be a little confusing depending on what you...
I'm still a fan of Yuasa. When you look up the battery model, they usually have a second model that is better than stock, with an H in the number. So the YTX14H puts out more than the recommended YTX14. Order from Powersport Parts on Amazon and you should get it the next day. The don't...
Yamaha makes a lighter spring for the RTX.
Here is the thread with the lighter Yamaha spring:

Part numbers in last post at the bottom.
And here is one on swapping to a mono in the RTX...
Looking now, the M-10 is up to $1300 now. But they should have some kind of deal where you send a picture of the install and they give you $150 rebate. They are only showing it on air suspensions now, but it was offered when I called them up to talk to them.
The other part, two late now, is to...
My last 8 sleds had M-10s. I made the mistake of getting a 2007 RTX. I read everything there was about doing something with that suspension, tried a few things and had it up for sale after my second trip. (Had it for sale in the Milwaukee show. Told the rep I hated my first Yamaha because of...
