Sorry for reopening this thread, but did a new stator fix the problem? I’m experiencing the exact issues. 12.6v on fully charged battery while running and at 5000rpm. Unplug the lights and it goes to 14volts even at idle. 0.3ohms across all white stator wires. All have resistance to ground like...
Yup I throw a pink or white primary spring in and the sled has horrible backshift and then put the purple back in and it just wakes it up completely.
Check the alignment mine was off a slight bit so I reshimmed. Seem to help a lot.
Thanks for your input. Yes this sled is to front end heavy, the sidewinder now is more balanced making it feel lighter. I feel the cooler in the back would help balance the sled.
Does snow still build up on the front in the hood, bumper, a arms and steering boots? At the end of a powder day my...
Mine has an MCX270 since day one. Take that breather line out of your intake. And route it down to your belly pan. Get a roll over valve from 4strokesolutions and always where your tether. This I what I have done and have never lost a drop of oil since. Roll over valve is a must for the...
I dealt with Robertson out of swift. They gave up as well. I took my chain case apart and checked all bearings and such and no play. But now that it seems to work I wish I would have taken my skid right out earlier and placed it on flat ground to check. Before I would run my track slightly more...
Exact same happens to me. Gonna try a new relay or clean up the current one. Every morning it won't back out of the trailer. Then works the rest of the day..
For me I got 2200k on mine. I blamed it on the track too. But who knows might also have been my rails. Been slightly tweeked and slow got worse over time. All I know is I went from badly bent rails to straight and the alignment issues are gone.
Bringing up an old thread but has anyone else tried and tested this out? I can't stand the huge snow and ice build up I get hanging off my front end. Would save a lot of weight!
Well I think I just did. This last trip I noticed my rails where bent! Pretty bad too, the last few lugs of the track weren't touching the ground. Looked like I had tipped up rails.
So I removed the skid and actually ended up bending my rails straight then I welded on some homemade stiffeners...
Well we are actually working on both. Nytro 144 mpi190 and a viper 163 mcx270. Tring to get them setup here at 2500ft. But most riding will be 5-6000ft. I just feel like I'm chasing my tail. Dealing with hot clutches and slow spool and take off at high altitude but down low they take off like...
Here is an example of what we have. Had a sled setup stock with a 43 helix. Secondary was running hotter temps. Change it to a 47 with a stiffer preload to help with upshift and maintain the backshift. Sled rips a lot better and the secondary is now cooler. But we have now dropped the engine rpm...
Hey,
I have been studying/testing different clutching setups on my sled for the last 2 years and there is one of many things I still don't understand.
They always say adjust the primary first for desired max peak engine rpm and belt tension. Sure yes that makes sense. Now, I go to my secondary...
