I think I will stick with my 4 banger 4 stroke for awhile. I like the 2 strokes, but I just don't have the time to mess with them nor do I have the time to fix them or the money to modify them. Espsecially when we are talking $15,000.00. out the door. The thing better work for that much...
Isn't the Yamaha Turbo "on paper" rated at 180HP? Well Ski-Doo 2022 turbo just matched that "on paper" Everyone gives 4 strokes a hard time but Ski-Doo obviously has been dumping TONS of money into their 4 stroke program and nobody does that just for the heck of it.
I am looking for a snowmobile for a female, late 30s with two younger kids, has never been snowmobiling. Riding U.P. Michigan trails. I starting out thinking the Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro 600R (newer engine) E-Tec was the way to go. Then I shifted over to the Yamaha SRViper L-TX GT because of...
Without anyone beating me up to "go do a search a$$ hole" could an actual person who converted from the stock 1.25 inch track to the ICE Cobra 1.6 tell me if its just a simple slap on and no modifications needed? Also, is it really worth the hype to spend $630.00 going from the stock 1.25...
Hmmmm maybe they will build a new Apex with this new engine! 200HP with NO turbo!!!! I can only dream!
"the next generation YZF-R1 will get a new inline-four cylinder engine that is likely to churn power more than 200bhp"...
What is the article saying (go to the end) Are they saying a new Apex is in the works or are they saying something else? I don't get it. I'm at work, so sorry if I missed something in the article.

Yes my google and computer skills could be improved but I can't find a "NEW" or should I say "not used" Apex with a 1.75 track anywhere for sale. Any help would be appreciated. and as I already said, my computer skills are low, so no haters please.
Sorry but I am a "made in japan" type of Snowmobile guy. The fit and finish of a Japanese snowmobile is unmatched. I was so hoping they would bring back my favorite engine but they didn't :dunno: Considering snowmobiles cost as much as a Yamaha motorcycle if not more, I want my engine to last...
I was looking at a 2017 Polaris switchback 800 to replace my Apex. However I keep reading story after story of Polaris switchback owners talking about how their 800 engines blew up after 3000 - 5000 miles :dunno: This would not do at all in the U.P. of Michigan with miles and miles of trail...
"titled as a 2017 but has all the upgrades to make it a 2018" How can they legally do that? How could you re-sell it in the future as a used "2018"?

Sorry I have been out of the loop for awhile, busy spring, summer, fall. Just wondering where the OFFICIAL notice from Yamaha is that they are officially discontinuing the Apex?
Thanks for the help
Technology is always changing. Just wondering what people are using for sled to sled communications with each other. Is it hard to hear over the sound of the engine / exhaust? Or do you just use a modular flip up helmet instead of electronics?
Thanks
The Army changed the color of their uniforms so the old stuff is getting dumped. This is a great deal for $27.00

Its now CAMSO?? Where I have I been? Anyways I'm looking for cheapest including shipping website for the 1.75 for my 2012 apex xtx (9143C) However I just noticed on their website a track called the Challenger with a 2 inch lug. Anyone have one of these...
As crazy as it sounds, my dealer is actually pissed that Yamaha is making so many different models / configurations of snowmobiles 2017. He doesn't know what to order. I'll just stick with my Apex. I think I am just as confused as he is.
An air box mod on a computer controlled Apex that utilizes the pressure waves will screw up your sled. If you think you are smarter than Japanese motorcycle engineers, you are not.

Looking forward to pulling these covers off tomorrow morning. See you at 11:00 AM central time!
My new GMAX 54 helmet did well. Never fogged. breath guard get in the way a bit when using the modular lift feature. When you close the Modular lift part (whatever its called) you have to lift your visor and adjust your breather guard each time.

Darn it, cigarette lighter is not “live" all the time.
Got the http://www.amazon.com/NOCO-G1100-Automa ... B004LX3AXQ with the Cig lighter adapter for my 12 Apex/ However Looks like the Apex cigarette lighter thing is not always "hot" or "live" Therefore the Cigarette battery maintainer...
Already had to tow a family members old 1995 Cat through some rough terrain. Rider sat on Cat and steered while I towed him with 12 Apex XTX. Not sure what the combined weight was. Any opinions on potentail "towing vehicle" damage caused from towning other sleds especially towing using...
