    QS3 Rear shock

Shock is on 2. It was the spring tension that changed everything. Curious to see how it rides before I mess with anything else...but also curious if AC uses a different spring on their cross country 137. It’s the sister sled and seemed better out of the box (based on my compressing it up and...

Need help on possable new purchase

Curious why you would go 129 over 137? What didn’t you like when you drove one? I think you should consider the longer track to get all this power to the ground. I’ve owned a 137 viper and 129 viper. The 129 spun the track like crazy and that engine was 75 hp less than the SW.

    QS3 Rear shock

Shock was mounted in upper hole. Yamaha stated the sled was set up for a 150lb rider from factory and they turned the blocks to the middle position to stiffen the springs. It rebounds now, but doesn’t move much at all when I stand on it. Solid. I’m going to ride it and break it in before I...

    QS3 Rear shock

Can’t. Sled is at dealer. I’m just prepping for the worst and was curious if this was common while waiting to hear back.

    QS3 Rear shock

Cheaper for sure...what’s the best rear shock for me if Yamaha doesn’t warranty this? Aftermarket QS3R with Kashima? I’m prepping my new pilot 6.9’s while I wait to hear back from the dealer - thanks for the thorough thread Dan

    QS3 Rear shock

No...I’m smarter than that...however the service guy was bouncing on it in the back of my pickup and thought it was fine. Hopefully the humor here is self explanatory.

    QS3 Rear shock

I think the QS3R is the model with rebound. I didn’t see a rebound adjustment and neither did the dealer.

    QS3 Rear shock

So I just picked up a leftover 2018 sidewinder XTX 137. Got it home: no free sag, bottoms out to the coupler blocks when standing on it and rebounds extremely slow when I get off it. Can’t seem to bounce on it in the garage. Brought it back to dealer and they think this is just the way Yamaha...

    2020 Release

No question in my mind. This limited release for 2019 with no participation in the sneak peak tour coupled with the final year of the AC agreement...1 of 2 things happen in 2020: Yamaha buys the arctic cat snowmobile division from Textron or they become a pure engine supplier to AC and possibly...

    2019s

The 2019 ZR7000 tells me the viper should return in the new plastics with the 1050, not a 998 na...they added new vents to the front for the radiator. Question is: how many trim options and how many LE models? XTX LE in all blue w/ new iQS please....or is this post faux pas in the SW forum?

I didn’t pursue further. The panels stay in place just fine

Sr Viper 2016 flash poll and Thread

Can you find out if this flash fixes the starting issue? i.e. always needing 2 attempts. Also, is this a warranty thing? Is there a Texhnical service bulletin number or something we can reference with our own dealers?

Sr Viper 2016 flash poll and Thread

X2 on this question. My new 2018 needs 2 tries to start, everytime.

    New 18 Viper question

That’s annoying. The fit/finish here sucks now. Anyone have a part# on these? I’d like to order some if they are still available - Its impossible for me to pinpoint on the microfiche.

    New 18 Viper question

This is helpful thanks - now I need to understand why the two thumb screws on the upper front corners of the shrouds are missing. Did Yamaha do away with those as well or did the dealer forget to put them back in after set up?

    New 18 Viper question

So I just picked up a 2018 viper rtx. I used to have a 2014 LTX-Se. Noticed this sled doesn’t have an exhaust temp sensor...just a bolt in the spot where my last sled had the sensor. Is this something that was stripped? Can I simply add one and is there a pigtail I can plug it into? Dealer not...

    2018 Vipers

If true, would that be potentially problematic running stock/non-turbo? Adding boost is not my intention. This may be a 1-year sled or kept as a buddy sled as there is a good chance I’ll spring order a SW.

    2018 Vipers

In the market for a new viper. Not seeing any threads nor online reviews on the base model RTX and LTX. I’m thinking it’s a good value and a quick/easy project to upgrade the basic stock front shocks. I have a couple questions if anyone can help me out: 1. Safe to assume that all the kinks of...

Anyone have a 16 LE model in New England?

Funny you should say that. I saved that craigslist post and reached out to them last week. It sold. How many miles on yours and would you consider selling?
