hey guys i have a 2012 xtx that needs the front end rebuilt / upgraded . looking at mountaintech 41+2 but was wondering on the trail how it will corner compared to the factory frontend ? We do a fair amount of ditch riding is why i was looking at the 41 over the 43 . Thoughts or what you all...
hey guys checked the faqs but didnt see what i was looking for ! my question is on the tunnel of these sleds the self piercing rivets when you remove them what are you replacing them with ? pop rivet or solid rivet and what size ? or does anyone have the part number for the replacement ? thanks...
sorry i havent been on here in awhile but i replaced the o ring on the snout of the starter and i think that was what was causing the leak will know for sure when i can get out and ride it ! thanks for all the ideas and thoughts
thankyou for the replies yes it is an 07 i'm thinking its motor oil because when i checked the chaincase oil it was rite where it should be . there was some oil on the starter and the small line that runs under it over into the block . also the starter was off the sled i think maybe 5 years ago...
was out in the shop today and noticed a small puddle of oil under the phazer . checked the oil level and it was below the low mark . took the frontend off so i could check it out and i need to change the oil and and filter ! but it looks like it may be leaking on the back side of the motor maybe...
I had my shocks revalved by schmidt before the season with the softer center spring and i will say its like ridding a different sled now . How much the softer center spring helped i'm not sure but its not nearly as harsh as before .
alrighty thanks ! just had my shocks revalved by schmidt bros before the season but the suspension settings i am running so far limiter strap #2 front shock spring about 3/4 of the way to the top of the threads back shock compression rite in the middle and the torsion spring on med .
so i have a 07 fx and i broke the center link that couples the shocks last night . I found an 08 update kit for it is that the best way to fix this so it doesn't happen again ? I did see all the info about it in the stickeys at the top but all of that seemed to be from a couple years ago ! thanks
