The timing on this is perfect. I was thinking hard today on trading my 2015 STX DX for something new, or upgrading the 2015 to give the ride and handling I'm still searching for. All of my riding buddies have switched to Ski Doos in the last yr. I was checking out a 900 Turbo, or a 850 etec. My...
It would have been a fantastic winter if there was ride-able snow in Feb. Zero snow cover here for the month. It's getting harder and harder to get miles on from the back door every yr. Had to load up in early Jan and head to NB and Quebec for 1000 km ride. Loaded up on Mar 1st and headed to...
2950km (1850 miles). That will be all for this season as the mild weather is here. Temps hit 5C here today and the sun is chewing it up quickly. Snow dropped about a foot here today. Bare spots in feilds and on trails. Looking at 10C and rain on the weekend. Put the sleds into storage last night.
Just got back from another great run with the bride. She is on her 14 LTX DX, and I was on my 15 STX DX. Her sled seems so easy to get to rail and stay flat, the STXDX needs fine tuning. I'm 6'3" and go 250 dressed. I'll need to count the threads on the front shocks for you, but I don't have to...
4th wheel kit, semi agressive snowtrackers, basic V pattern studding, Thunder Products belt removal/ adjuster, Dupont slides.
Looking at a set of mohawk skis
I have the same machine, and just got back from a 5 day 1755km trip. Had every kind of condition imaginable. Rode on everything from perfectly groomed trails to ungroomed 6' powder, and huge drifts. Absolutly love this machine, and the only thing i will change is to go to a wider ski next year...
Hey guys just pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my sled (2015 STX-DX 141 uncoupled) went fastest while loaded up with spare gas, saddle bags and tunnel bag loaded with gear. Just before the trip I replaced all skid bearings and put on a set of duponts. Before this my top speed was...
Thanks. I'll go out and start from scratch yet again.
I can't get over it. Never had this much problem before. Bravos, Ovation, Phazer all were slick to do.
Hey folks, losing what's left of my mind with this. Replaced all skid bearings, changed over to dupont slides, re-installed skid. All went well, up until setting up sag and centering. If I set sag as equal while hanging with no weights, ( 1.25" ) on both sides the track is way left. To the point...
I have the same sled, and the only issue is the lack of snow! The sled rocks, but because of the 141 uncoupled skid, I have to do all of the trail busting cause the rest ride 129's.
2015 STX-DX, just about 2200km(1400 miles). Sled is stock with the exception of a 4th wheel kit, 250 dressed.
The best I could get out of it last year was 140km/h(88mph). Softened up the skid this season and slacked the track off just a hair after a buddy pointed out that it looked a little...
Merry Cristmas to all riders, and their supporting families. Santa brought a his & hers set of Trail passes!
I guess DW must have gotten curious enough to leave the fields and come to the trails. Why else would she ask Santa for passes?
It just means more time in the Phazer saddle for me, cause...
I bought the same sled as a left over last Feb. Low snow conditions meant I only got to put 1700km(1000miles) on it so far.
It tops out at 148kph(91). Gets to 135(85) quickly then flatens out. The engine is still opening up and was getting stronger all of the time as the spring came on. Does...
6'3" and it fits me well. It is all stock so far. Have had no problems with rider position.
Only problem is that my wife has taken over the sled, pushing me back to the Phazer when we go on rides together. She wants to try the Gaspe loop next season.
I'm looking at getting a Ltx Dx for her...
I'll check where mine is set the next time I go to the garage. The dealer asked me my dressed weight and had it set up when I got there. It rides like a dream. No kick back, turns well.
I need something that wears really well cause we have to road for about 500m at one point to get to the trail. I was thinking of putting a Rouski wheel kit on it, but I think you can just idle with them engaged. Everyone says Snow Trackers are the best for wear and light steering. I do have some...
