    Ns1 gauges

The holes are oblong on those tabs. If you turn both the tabs the same way, the gauge can come out without removing the wing nuts completely.

    Early dyno reports (850R)

in real world reliability and power, I don’t know who is better. My viper makes 420+hp on a stock block, crank, pistons, head. Both my svho waverunners with a tune and impeller have never lost anything on the water so far. Sidewinder engines will outlast the sled running 270+hp. Sure there are...

    Early dyno reports (850R)

It’s not so simple. Yamaha is arguably the best engine builder in the world. They could build and engine with equal power, but not even Yamaha themselves could build and engine that would completely dominate the 998 turbo. The 998 engine is 20+ year old tech already, not 7 years old.

    Early dyno reports (850R)

It will be a joke, just like the Mach Z and Polaris boost.

    Ns1 gauges

I have one of these gauges and I have found the owner to be very helpful. The GPS function doesn’t work great in Ontario. I don’t need turn by turn Navigation personally so not an issue. I am not sure about trails in your area, but I purchased the trackmaps for Ontario, uploaded to Ns1 gauge and...

    Yamaha done with sleds

Yup. A lot of the junk sleds have dropped prices big time since the Covid pricing of the last few seasons. Sidewinders still seem to hold their value in the used market. Anything 2 stroke, especially Polaris, seem to have dropped a lot of in value. And the old sleds like apex and Nytro’s. Vipers...

    Yamaha done with sleds

hopefully yamaha is still an engine supplier going forward. About all we can hope for.

    14.8 vs 15.8 mm roller?

if you get any sort of track spin the larger rollers work better and will be faster and the bushings will last longer.

stage 6 vs mod stock vs big turbo

Stage 6 is a waste of time and money unless you are competing in a class which requires stock turbo. a mod stock isn’t super pricy, but won’t give you much on pump fuel. Big turbo will make big power for a big amount of money. And then you end up with a big amount of problems, especially if...

    Ns1 gauges

I have the Ns, and the gauge and Ns1 app work great. My issue has been with the gauge and OFSC app working together properly. I don’t know why but the OFSC app has some issues on the gauge. Some days it works great and some days it won’t load and constantly freezes. You can download the track...

    Blowing through fts

The front track shock sounds like it’s blown. I have Qs3r shocks on my LE, and the FTS never lasts a whole season for me after rebuild. I had it rebuilt prior to this season and she’s blown after around 3000kms. I have the bill mohr front track spring too which is stiffer than stock. If you’re...

    Sled allocation 24

They’ve been available for over a month now. It was very tempting last time at the dealer. A friend of a friend is in his mid 60s, has 22 Le power steering and he was the fastest guy in the group by far. Seems like power steering is the real deal.

    Sled allocation 24

Dealers in Ontario seem to have a fair amount stock on new 2023 sidewinder/srx. Lots of cancelled snow checks apparently with the delays and mild winter.

    Thankful for my SW Story

Yup. These sleds are great compared to what the competition offers. Skidoos seem to be ok engine wise, but I know seadoo sparks don’t seem to make it past 500 hours, so not sure how that will translate into snowmobiles, more or less hours. The third Polaris 850 that rides with us seized its...

    gauge swap

I believe the gauges are sealed. Don’t think it comes apart without breaking it. You could just silicone your gauge in. It doesn’t really need to come out.

    gauge swap

Mileage is stored in the gauge. Hours are stored in the ecu. So the gauge will read zero if new or if you buy a used, whatever kms are on that gauge.

    New ski-doo

The water/meth is cool. But good luck to whoever tunes these sleds. For what it’s worth, a buddy of mine has a Mach Z he rode last year, this season he’s on a 23 SRX with power steering. I asked where the Mach was, his response “that sled is #*$&@ compared to this yamaha,”

    Starting over....lol!

I’m just going by our experiences. The 137 wasn’t slow, just on hard pack conditions the 129 would always hook better. And get a couple sleds ahead of the 137. From a roll we would be the same too. L On loose snow conditions, the 137 would be slightly quicker than the 129.

    Starting over....lol!

137s are hard to hook up with trail studs. Anything you do to make it hookup will be detrimental to ride and handling. Stud the outside bars. Take the blocks out of the rear, maybe even run 1 chisel per bar. At least 1/2 inch penetration on studs. My brother had a couple 137 winders and they...
