    Primary Clutch Vibration

Ok #14 also. The shim would tighten it up a little more if loose, makes sense. Sounds great, thank you for the help.

    Primary Clutch Vibration

Thank you 74Nitro for the response. Just so I am correct, the slider buttons are both part number 11 & 12? I can't find the spider shim part number 8BW-17654-20-00 on the picture, could you point it out what part. Thank you

    Primary Clutch Vibration

While riding I have been getting this high pitch vibration sound from the primary clutch. Seems to start at 3500 rpms and then goes away after you get into higher rpms. I pulled the belt to confirm that it was not coming from other areas. I checked the rollers, seemed like no flat spots...

Steering Spindle (Steering Knuckle) on 2014 XTX

I went & double checked the sticker on the sled, 10/13 was the manufacture date on it. That is weird that they had the changed the arm lengths for the spring orders. I am not sure, unless mine had the trail length arms and some one changed them to the shorter ones as I bought the sled used. I...

Steering Spindle (Steering Knuckle) on 2014 XTX

Hi, I have a 2014 Viper XTX, I struggle with heavy steering ever since I bought the sled, added the 160lb spring on the front shock in the rear suspension, did help but still could be better. My brother has a Arctic Cat Xf 7000 and his does steer quite a bit easier, I know the keel of my ski...

YES warranty for hand & thumb warmers

I have a viper with the YES warranty remaining. My hand warmers seem very weak & the thumb warmer does not seem to work at all. Has not threw up any codes & the wiring seems visually ok. Just wondering if anyone had any luck getting the hand & thumb warmers repaired thru the YES warranty. Thanks

    Chaincase removal and inspection

Is the aftermarket one holding up better than the oem, or is it still something that should be watched every xxxx miles? I am just wondering if it pays to put a oem back unless they improved them? Do you remember where you got the aftermarket one from & what it costed? Thanks

    Chaincase removal and inspection

I double checked with the collar on, really tried moving the jackshaft every direction with a lot of force and no movement. Took the taper nut off, and inspected it from this point checked for bearing movement, all seems good, cage seems in good shape. I think the picture was not real great...

    Chaincase removal and inspection

Haven't had a chance yet to get the collar off to double check. If I find out that it is shot; when removing the jackshaft does the pounding typically destroy the bearing at the secondary clutch side? Seem it would be pushing on the inside of the bearing.

    Chaincase removal and inspection

Yes it's a 2014 with 3600 miles. How hard is it to remove the taper collar, is it pressed in the bearing?

    Chaincase removal and inspection

    Chaincase removal and inspection

I did not remove the collar yet on the jackshaft, there did not seem to be any movement when I wiggled it yesterday. But, I will double check tonight, will see if I can get any movement on the balls in the bearing. Has the oem bearing 8JP-RAG04-00-00 2206k been updated to a better one on the...

    Chaincase removal and inspection

Well I finally found some time to take apart. Just want you thoughts if this gear bushing is in need of replacement. There is a lot of yellow showing. I checked out the bearing also, it seems good, no free play. Has there been any improvements in the oem part, or is there any aftermarket that...

    Chaincase removal and inspection

Hi, I had my 2014 Viper for one season now, has about 3600 miles on. After reading the 2 or 3 different threads, I am thinking of opening up the chain case and checking for wear. I am a little unsure about the gears that are prone to wear or fail. Could someone point out which numbers on the...

I have the YES warranty till Dec 2020. Has anyone had a thumb warmer repaired under warranty? Mine is cold, I know some they work well on some and others not so much, but this one is no heat at all.
