    MPI Turbo Viper ongoing Review.....

Ok great. Seems like the big changes to the engine, head studs and head gaskets go in around 10psi? I have had a friend running his nytro for 5 years 3000 mi with 8-9psi on just a fuel pump upgrade to his push turbo and its a beast on pump gas.

Finger talk 2.6" and 3" Powerclaw

Nick. Don't the fingers give you a better trail traction? The 3" seems like they were trying to save weight and don't care about the on trail manners. So far I,m really happy with my 2.6 PCI, does everything well.

    MPI/Yamaha Viper turbo upgrades 250hp

Seems like an AFR of 12.5 is pushing it alittle. Have you had any issues at 8#? I have only dared to run 6# at low elevation and never any long pulls. I show 11.4-11.6 max.

'14 Viper SE really loose handlebars. Anyone else?

I used a flat head screw driver covered with a pice of card board and put pressure on the side of the bolt (to hold it from turning) folcruming off of the triangle hole to turn the nut with a gear wrench. Don't use anything to squish the threads

'14 Viper SE really loose handlebars. Anyone else?

Thanks for the help guys. Here are my pics to help anyone else. On the right side of sled take off the rubber boot as shown. Pull out plastic push pins. Turn steering to left to expose 17mm nut in triangle cutout. Tighten nut and your good to go. At end of Handel bars I went from 2-1/2"...

'14 Viper SE really loose handlebars. Anyone else?

Good timing. After just 200miles my steering has at lease two inches of play before any movement. It even seemed to lock or bind up when at full turn. I will check the above mentioned, thanks

Viper mpi turbo oil leak update kit at your dealer.

I've been buying a quart of oil every weekend for my viper, reminds me of my 2stroke days. Today my dealer called me in to put the update kit on my sled. Thought I would spread the good word. Thanks mpi for dealing with this issue. http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthr...20#post3787520

Viper Mpi psi and afr Readings

I,m running my mpi spring order kit ((no intercooler)) at 4psi wot around 8700rpm. Still playing it light till I get more miles. 3000ft elevation. Seeing readings of 11.7 afr. The sled is running great and is running 45mph track speed up the hills with decent powder.. I,m worried the afr is too...

    Boost, AFR gauge location

This is the set up I used and it works and looks great. The only thing I didn't like was the boost gauge in this picture, I already changed out the boost gauge to a 0-15 psi for a larger more accurate reading, the -30/+20 is too small to read while riding. The AEM AFR is perfect. The mount from...

    -16°f cold start

I'm less than impressed with my sleds ability to start. I have the turbo and it is a beast to start past zero. On our first trip to summit we loaded the sleds up in the morning -5f, half way to summit we stopped for fuel and I started my sled on the trailer because the temp was near -10f and I...

    Turbo Fuel Requirements

For alittle precaution I started mine off with a 1/1 blend of race gas 101 and our super 90 octane and I could not get the sled to fire once temps went into the negatives. So I've backed way down to a 10% race fuel blend and it fires right up at -10f now. I,m only running stock boost 4.5-5 I was...

    AFR and Boost gauges

I went with the aem afr guage it runs the newer Bosch sensor that requires no tuning. My boost guage is an Autometer -30/+20. Don't like it because it's so small of a sweep in the guage so I orderd the 0-15 from autometer. My sleds low boost 6psi and the sleds don't pull vacume so you don't need...
