Or instead of aluminum (if you can't find it) some thick reinforced rubber hose which matches as listed below. Just slit the back of the rubber hose lengthwise and it'll fit over the rod as listed. Then hose clamp that rubber cylinder on there. Similar - just depends if you can find aluminum...
Thanks for all the feedback and all the pictures. I phoned a couple Yamaha dealers but was unable to find the C to C for the XTX shocks so instead of risking it I ended up just ordering the Z-Broz Exit triple rate piggyback rezzy shocks for my fronts.
I've got them on one of my IQ RMK's and...
Thanks for the pictures and the feedback. I've got a call in to see if CR can get those Ohlins still and if not I'll either go w/ the Z-Broz or those Yamaha GYT-R units that you've shown.
I stumbled across some pricing for those Yamaha shocks on the internet (search GYT-R front shocks yamaha...
Hey Nikolai - did you need to change the springs?
I tried a set of XRS Summit Ti shocks but just rocking it back in forth seemed to bottom them out - I've still got those shocks which are nice due to compression adj., but they seem overwhelmed by the weight of the front end of the Nytro.
I've been looking into front shocks to replace the Nytro MTX shocks, and I've been looking at the Z-Broz, and the Float EVOLs.
Has anyone else had luck with these or other choices? I know some were running GYT-R shocks but I haven't heard any feedback.
I would like to know what people out...
Thanks I'm looking at the EZ-Ryde with the EXIT Z-Broz shocks.
Thanks ClimbMax for the feedback on the Timbersled Mtn Tamer updates - I'll keep my eyes on what they're up to also.
+2 above freezing at the peak of Whistler yesterday and today so it looks like I've got a couple weeks to decide.
If you could provide pictures that would be great.
Would you do the EZ-Ryde again? Or would you try something else?
Is it giving you enough transfer to keep the front end light, but not so much that it comes back on you in the big climbs?
Thanks.
I put the Timbersled skid on my T-Apex and found that the tail was jacked so high that the ski pressure was all messed up and the ride was unpredictable and sketchy. Tried all the settings that I could and never really came up with something that I was 100% happy with. The RX-1 and the Apex...
My 04 Rev800 had 138HP. I'd think if you could do the Timbersled treatment you'd be close to the performance of the 04...
If not boost is a nice option. :)
The 800R power falls off fast at altitude with the low compression head that they have. I had an 04 151" which stomped my 07 151" with the challenger lite trench track. If the Nytro can beat an 06 144" I am going to be very happy with mine.
06 was without a doubt the best year for the...
Keep an eye on the coolant and the oil lines at the turbo. Keep em tight, but not TOO tight. ;)
They have a way of easing off and weeping onto the red hot turbo... Ask me how I know...
I didn't want to start a whole new AVGAS thread since it's been beat to death, but I am curious if I can get away with stage 2 on a Nytro without getting into the head.
Was thinking a good flat-light sled would be this Nytro MTX with the track turned around and a stage 2 MPI SC.
Then...
Sure would like to see those dyno run numbers vs. the baseline... If you could get me high 140's from just installing a sweet sounding exhaust package and losing a ton of weight I'd probably have to add a Nytro in the garage...
When you get a chance some info would be nice as to max hp, rpm...
If the 800R took between 8 and 9 gallons and your Nytro took between 6 and 7 gallons yet you went further I wouldn't be too worried about the fuel consumption.
You would both be out of gas at the same time at that rate and that's the main factor.
Also that's some fresh powder your busting...
For the mountain riders it's an issue. There are NO gas stations where I ride. You could bring extra gas in your truck but you'd be so far in the back country you'd basically have to say goodbye to all your friends for the day as they continued on and you went down for gas.
So I indeed hope...
