New Ecu flash for Yamaha Viper/Arctic cats 7000 w/POLL

Here’s my real world timeline from New 0 miles. Always had the extended crank on hot restart, would always start cold with a choppy idle from day 1. As mileage increased the starter kick back went from very minimal to more pronounced. Started to develop the frozen fuel relay no start issue...

New Ecu flash for Yamaha Viper/Arctic cats 7000 w/POLL

You described my old 15 viper exactly when I would be in Canada, unfortunately there is no positive fix. Welcome to the club!!!!

    Finally got my 2020

Here’s my suggestion, put semi aggressive snow trackers on the curves, shim the rear saddle. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

    sidewinder chaincase lube

With all the normal traditional oils mentioned with varying individual results, I’ll mention this. Yamaha outboard gear case oil. My dealer does boats and sleds only and turned me on to this stuff after the initial drain from new. Had no issues. Only fluid they use in there viper/ sidewinder...

Snow Tracker hyd. Ski wheel system

Had very good success with the Rouski set up. Imo.. they are well built and handled all my abuse. Won’t own a snowmobile with out them.

Retractable Rouski Wheels on Curve Skis

I put a ton of miles on that setup and had no problems whatsoever with his mounting hardware or ski fatigue. Rouski should pay him for his design.!!! Just giving you REAL WORLD experience since I commissioned him to make the first set.

    To purchase or not

Reading your post, my thoughts. A 153 mtx IMO is not the sled for Tug Hill. Clutching/ gearing are set up for the steep and deep for out west. The track lugs would tear/ fold over while trail riding. The front end is very narrow and unstable at trail speeds. You’ll end up very unhappy after...

Front cooler... meaning front of track, should of been more specific.

New Cat XF 7000 high country owner

One of the best things about a viper/7000, No heat exchangers in tunnel. Rad/fan front cooler setup. This setup hardly ever overheats unless there is a mechanical issue.

Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

Had the opportunity to see a 19 900t and a 19 srx fully setup by Turbo Dynamics while up in Quebec right after Xmas. The 900t was around 190-195 hp and the srx was a custom 300hp setup. There are no words to describe the SRX but completely INSANE. The skidoo also ran flawlessly. TD IMO has the...

Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

Nope.... you didn’t miss anything. My decision was based on a few things. 1-just wanted to try a different sled 2-primarily ride Quebec/ NB/ northern Maine So dealer network and warranty transfers across border( no fighting to get paid when I come home) 3 wanted better fuel range for the bag...

Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

The winder is a hyper sled, league of its own. In the grand scheme of things, I personally don’t think skidoo cares about the numbers sold. IMO the 900t was to give there 4st followers a little more. NOW YAMAHA could build a sled as I-described earlier to blow the 900t out of the water in that...

Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

Don’t disagree at all. EPS or steering assist electronically is really overrated and not needed. Geometry changes achieves the same thing. But that’s what there using in the power sport’s world. It sells. In the automotive world it’s a must. If they produced a sled like I mentioned above...

Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

Yamaha has the opportunity to make a statement in the snowmobile world, timing is everything!!! My thoughts.... They have the technology 1- eps 2- 3 mode engine management 3- best drive by wire technology 4-excellent turbo technology Incorporate all 4 things that make up a 150-160 hp sled(...
