    2021 Sidewinder Hard Starting

My bone stock 2020 ltx gt is doing the exact same thing. It will only start with 1/4 throttle and will die when you let off the throttle. It was 35 out today and it still did it. If anyone knows what can take care of this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Had it at the dealer for this...

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

When it is acting up it will run rough. Or only stumble on start up. When it starts and runs but is acting up it sounds like it is only running on 2 cylinders. One time it would just stumble and die every time I tried to start it. I attempted to start it like this for 10 minutes or so. Then i...

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

Has not done it for the dealer. So their defense its hard to fix an intermittent issue that they can not duplicate.

    New 2020 LTX GT

Our family runs the Diggin Hard diesel super stock. We mostly pull with the NTPA so we are on the RFD channel.

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

Got the sled back from the dealer there was nothing they could do on the idle issue. It was running fine for them. Just have to live with it.

    New 2020 LTX GT

I dont recall what i paid for the i-grips any more. They install very nicely. So far after 2,200 miles one has ripped loose due to not drilling the pilot hole centered enough. Rest are holding up well. Performance wise they are exactly what my wife and i wanted! We ride fairly hard. On icy...

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

Yup Jon with no H. Dont think there will be much left to ride on shortly. Sun has a lot of power this time of year!

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

When starting we never touch the throttle until it is up above 160. When it doesn't start it will crank just fine. Fire up with a large miss. Then die. The starter kicks its self out when it reaches a certain rpm. When it gets this way you have to add throttle or it will fire and die...

    Belt Squeal

Yeah i was planning on deleting it. First i was going to take it in under warranty. The dealer will make a case on it. They will find nothing wrong. But at least yamaha will have another case on it. The more cases they have the more they will realize there is an actual issue and possibly...

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

Yuppers! They sure are a sweet sled when everything is working! When we hit the main loops in the UP this weekend the wife let me ride it. Trails were beat to crap. Apex was beating me up. Winder was a very relaxing experience! Apex with its power steering is a groomed trail animal. When things...

Going to take it to vitesniks in Richland Center.

    Belt Squeal

Our 2020 ltx gt does the exact same thing. It definitely acts like the secondary is not closing fast enough. Even if your not using the brake it still does it. Ours now has 2,200 miles on now. You dont have to come to a complete stop. Just slow to about 15 mph in a corner and accelerate back up...

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

I have never gotten to use warranty on any new Yamahas. Ever since my local dealer closed i have had no luck getting anything covered. But i have always been notified there is $100 deductible per failure with YES coverage. And if it is not covered you pay for all the time they took to figure out...

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

This is our first season riding it. We bought it as a leftover. So it still has the factory warranty. If they do find anything we will not have to pay a deductible like you do with YES. We have about 1,800 miles on it now. It has done this about 5 times. What sucks is it probably will not do it...

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

We are in the UP right now. No spark plugs and 5 hours from home. We just rode it till it would stay running. Started fine this morning. Still taking it in. They will make a case with Yamaha. Guessing nothing will be found or fixed. But Yamaha will at least know about it.

    Throttle Needed on Start Up

Our 2020 winder has the same issue! Certain times starting it acts like the mapping is way off. You need throttle to get it started. Once its running it needs throttle to stay running. After a half hour of riding it will run like normal. Some times when starting it also only runs on 2 cylinders...

    Rear suspension sagging?

All of the suspension bolt holes are in their stock locations. This sled basically doesn't transfer much at all. It handles very flat. That makes for some very good trail manners!

    Rear suspension sagging?

Thought i would update on the rear suspension. We got to put 400 miles on the sled last week and are back at a friends cabin right now in bayfield county waiting for storm to dump the beautiful white stuff down. The way we have the sled set i wouldn't change a thing as of now. My wife let me...
