It transfers & launches unlike any sled I've ever ridden! It hooks up so good most of the time, that it's hard to hang on! You won't be disappointed. Lol
I have a B-TX with the 1.75" track, & I love it! It hooks up & checks out like a rocket! Unless you're going to be riding off trail/mountains all the time, I would encourage you to make the change.
I would bet the 2013 800 RR Cat I used to own would spank a 850 Ski-Doo!
What's also funny is that Ski-Doo has to increase their engine to a 850cc to produce equal or slightly (2hp.) more HP than a Cat who's running at 800cc!
Lastly, my Sidewinder is waaaay faster than my 800RR Cat! So, bring...
400 miles & Zero issue's! Averaging right at 15-16mpg, 1st tank was lower.
Actually I have had one persistent issue, a sore neck! This sled pulls so hard I think a neck brace might be a good idea!
Sidewinder B-TX SE has been the ultimate sled for me so far! Loving it!
The Mileage on my BTX se is close to my stock Viper, the horsepower is not! I put 110 trail miles on Friday(30 degrees & wet snow) in less than ideal trail conditions. I filled up at the 70 mile mark, I put in 4.6 gallons(70/4.6=15.2mpg). I was doing mostly a lot of cruising with some WOT runs...
I have a 2015 xtx le. Saturday my heated shield cord came unhooked (male end) & instead of disconnecting properly, I just stuffed it down in by the steering stem. Well a few minutes went by I noticed my hand guards were Blazing Hot, & the Digital gauges were Off, nothing. I'm sure it's just a...
I know the 16 is fitted with Evols, the middle shock might have a spring also, not sure. I had the Evols on my Cat 800rr & loved them, they are going on my xtx this off season!
Believe it or not a boosted xtx will still be slower on top end than your Apex, But the torque & acceleration is Off...
2015 xtx has Fox Float 3 on the back. They are average, I'm upgrading to the Evol this summer.
The Viper xtx is nothing like you Apex's, Nothing at all. The Apex to me is the perfect "smooth groomed" trail sled/lake sled, fast as all hell. The Viper is slower but handles the rough trail like a...
6'3" 240lb.
75psi Front
135 psi Rear
Limiter Strap: All the way out=loose
middle shock: 14 threads showing
2.25" track
With this setup my sled loves the powder!
They live for fresh powder! The deeper the better! I've driven my xtx LE a few times on the groomed trails, it does pretty good, but was created & designed for boondocking!
