I have to sell my baby. I bought it new and have redone nearly everything. I had it before haydays in 02 and it was used to gunea pig many of the aftermarket parts back then. My l4 vertebrae has been broken for almost three years and the disc finally gave out so I have to let them cut me open...
We watched Pinks last night and are now really revved up.
I get the idea about sucking up the front of the suspension, does it waste alot of E.T. when the front lifts, or does it stay pretty flat?
Watching the V-max4 he really seemed to some out slow, even though he hooked hard with lots of...
I tivo-ed it. No problem to put on disc, you guys just gotta help my wife get into the 120 zone on the SRX and not crash.(hard)hehe.
Let me know who needs a copy and I'll ask her nicely.

Quick connects are ordered, Cooling system is all planned in my egg. Now I am onto the skis and suspension. I will start on the rear tonight. Should I remove the transfer bars? Should I just remove the suspension first or start working with it in the sled.(The last owner took the hyfax off...
keep it coming. I will call Wahl today on the quick connects. I think I am going to stick with the closed system, what do you think about keeping it to a std. temp say 60? Trying to keep any variables down. I have a small squirrel cage fan I was going to use to cool down the clutches.
This...
Oh yeah,
I have been reading the stuff on the 03 asphalt thread, and am chewing on some of the info on using the stock skid. Any synopsis of the info and or pics or drawings would be great.
thanks

Steve from Performance Design and I are going to put on a prototype Flo Commander for 2 strokes. We are also going to try some friction and temp coatings for giggles.
thanks for the great info.
new list of question:
Source for quick disconnects?
Copper tubing in cooler or heat exchanger of some kind?
Source for ski wheels?
Optimum ski length(I have the NHRA book and they list a minimum)
Hard or soft track if I try the 2 stroke first?
Will be mostly...
Sounds doable. Do the skis have to be boughten, or can they be made? Is there a good place to get wheels? I would like to use the factory suspension and add some wheels for now. Any good used stuff available?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
thank you
Kole
I have finally gotten the asphalt rash and am going to give it a try. I have just gotten the wife an 01 SRX(she wants to race the RX1, but I am going to give the 2 stroke a try first. I am looking for some good, honest info on getting into it on a budget.
thanks
Kole
The website for the Flo-Commander is performance-design.net
The equalization of the carbs and the tuning ability is worth way more than the price and time to install. Give it a shot on anything carburated and you will love it.
flex pipes
Had the same problem on my 03. The #1 pipe was cracked, probably since new, and it finally got worse this year. Replaced it with an 04-05 and no more problems.
loboy valves
the loboy valves are small adjustable breather/vents that are also filtered. You can open them a little or alot to allow more air into the box. Mine always seems to run the best about 1/3 open. These are from Thunder Products.
Flo Commander
I was the original Gunea pig for the Flo Commander, those are my carbs and airbox in the pictures. Steve Kesselring is a very talented engine builder, tuner and engineer. The Flo Commander equalizes all carbs and gives them each the same air on the air bleed circuit. I have...
Call Joel Schneider in Albany, MN.(about 80 miles NW of Minneapolis on 94). He will help you figure it out. 320-845-4856 Joel Schneider Service. He helped me do a 136 Expert-X, Ripsaw, MPI conversion last year and he can help with all of your clutching needs also.
I've got a 136 expertx in my 03 and love it. You can adjust the weight transfer and Being 250lbs the shocks seem very good to me. I turned my shafts down .125" per side and installed the reinforcement plates on the inside of the tunnel, looks great.
You can get them from Joel Schneider...
Is there a part number on this kit yet? My local dealer will really go the extra mile unless they have to pick up the phone, ask a question, or fix a problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
