Solution to Intermitant Reverse Actuator Failure

I finally got sick of my reverse not working until the sled warmed up after sitting in a cold trailer overnight and went looking for a solution. I removed the actuator from the sled and found about a teaspoon of water inside the actuator gear housing and motor, and I'm pretty sure that once...

    LTX and Weight Transfer

Posting the video to dispel the wide spread notion that the front of the LTX is stuck to the ground with poor transfer. In box stock form, I am in 100% agreement that the LTX had horrible transfer. But, with proper shock valving and springs, and a track that will actually hook up, the LTX can...

Thank you to all the vendors that support this site and that donated the great prizes for the giveaway ride. Great prizes, great people, and a great time. Thank you Tom and Steph for organizing it all, and thank you Dave and Todd for donating your voices to the raffle. TY is so much more than...

    Gauge Pod Replacement

Got a bit of moisture in the gauge pod display and dealer will replace it under warranty, but wondering if mileage is stored in pod, or in ECU. Would think ECU, but dealer wasn't sure. Anyone know for sure?

    Newest Yamaha in the Stable

It's not a sled, but I know you guys will appreciate it regardless. Momma says she's tired of me having all the fun moding my toys, so she enlisted the guys at JBC in Farwell Michigan to customize a golf cart for her. It took her 2-1/2 hours to pick out the accessories and color for the custom...

    Tri-hub Replacement Option

Wanted to replace my trihub and don't trust only two wheels inside the rail in case of a bearing failure. Also, didn't want to add four wheel kit as I ride off trail alot, and like not having wheels outside the rails in the rear. After a little digging, I found OFTs three wheel Big Nutz axle...

LTX Guys - Check your limiter straps

I just pulled my skid to swap tracks and noticed damage to both limiter straps. The damage lines up with the drive nubs on the track. Must be enough track slap allowing the drive nubs to hit the limiters tearing them. Take at look at yours as you do not want your limiter straps to break...

    Munising Fun Ride - Fun?

Thanks to the TY guys for another great weekend. Even though we didn't ride on Sunday due to a mechanical issue with one sled in our small group, we all had a great time Friday night, Saturday riding, and Saturday night. Met a bunch of new people passionate about snowmobiling. That's what makes...

    Heated Seat, How Hot?

Seems to me that my heated seat was much warmer last year. Only used it once in the first 400 miles. I had it on the other night as it was chilly, and can't say that I could really feel it through my bibs. I remember that it really made a difference last year when I turned it on. I did start the...

Customized the GT windshield on Ditch Cricket

I did a hack job on the GT windshield for the Ditch Cricket. Kid says still to much, and wants to go it without any windshield. I guess I can take it off and we'll put it back on for the cold weather riding if he can't take the pain. Like my Daddy always said "if your gonna be dumb, you better...

    Surprise Gift from Dealer

A small box arrived by USPS today. What? I didn't order anything this month. After looking over the address, I realized it came from the dealer that I purchased my LTX-LE from in February 2015. Inside the box was a set of orange knee guards for my Viper. Prior to the sled purchase in Feb., I...

    Alert for members we follow

I have noticed that I have a couple of followers, and I also follow a few members. It would be nice to get an alert when one of the members I follow posts something. Right now it seams they show up in " my news feeds", but an alert would be nice. Any way to get that?

    Where has UPbushman gone?

Anybody know how to contact UPbushman? I am looking for a Sloppy Steering fix for the Ditch Cricket, and he hasn't responded to any of the PM's that I've sent to him. Just wondering if anyone has another way to get ahold of him that they can share. Feel free to PM me. Thanks

    Brake Line Safety Recall

Just received a recall notice for inspection of the brake line position. Notice indicates affected sleds are 2015 SR10LSFO (LTX-LE with 1.25" Ripsaw II track) and SR10m62LFO (MTX 162 LE). Apparently there have been problems with the secondary touching the brake line on full shift causing damage...

"Ditch Cricket" is ready for Snow

Finally, the project sled is nearly complete. Some Powderhounds will complete the mods for this year. "Ditch Cricket" started as a well used (beat up and poorly maintained by my definition) '07 GT, and has been transformed into a backcountry boondocker. Link to the album is...

Gearing / Drivers for GT 136" Freeride Consersion

We am stretching "ditch crickets" '07 GT to 136" and wondering if the stock 20/41 gearting is too tall to pull the 136 in the deep snow. As I see it, I can either lower the greaing to 18/41 (which was stock on base, FX and MTN Lite which will do nothing for helping with tight track tension...
