Also just make sure your battery cables are clean and tight. Any voltage drop off causes weird starting issues in almost any engine. Corrosion builds up quick. Easy to check.
I ran one all last year, only other mod is air box. Great kit. Pulls hard. I've also seen it ran on a turbo set up. Haven't heard any complaints. I ride flat land so I wouldn't say it's strictly for the mountains.
Maybe Yamaha has a new chassis with a ton of goodies but it just wasn't ready. Yamaha maybe didn't want to release a new model that didn't have the majority of the bugs worked out... I am just spit balling

I believe there was a similar thread on this... Breather give for the gas tank runs under the engine and seems to suck up snow dust and water from the belly pan area into the gas tank. I'd check that out... Likely water build up in your tank

Love my led lights... Makes a hell of a difference... I need to aim slightly but other than that... Might look into this updated housing for next year.

Well if the grounds are good... I would splice in new connectors and install new bulbs. It's possible the bulb itself shorted and melted the connector. Just make sure with an ohm meter that your circuit is good ground side and power side. Each wire end to end.

Should have under 2 ohms resistance to ground. Less the better. Not sure how the circuit is run but I would start there.

Check the grounds for the headlights... A corroded or lower grind will cause the circuit to heat up and melt the connector. Common issue on cars.

Got my 15 XTX back. Was about - 20c last night unloading the sled. Let the fuel pump cycle, cracked a little longer than usual but fired and ran first time. Seems to idle slightly better also. Less hunting.

Got the call yesterday to bring my sled in for the new flash. I didn't get a chance to do a pre flash run, but I've never had starter issues. I'll post what I notice when I get it back today or tomorrow.
