Just bought my 16 year old son a 2017 Phazer RTX for this season. Got a great deal so jumped on it. He had a 2008 Phazer GT and put about 6000 miles on it. Was a great sled but didn't handle well stock. Anyone out there give me some real world feedback (good or bad) on a newer Phazer?

Hey guys, my group and I have combined put over 60,000 miles on our Apexes since we all started riding them years ago. We are all very comfortable changing the exhaust gaskets (donuts) before every season as part of our routine maintenance. Is this also a requirement for Phazers? Just bought...

Typically 120 miles would be great but at times, we would need 150 miles as we ride in some remote areas. UPDATE: Just picked up a 2012 Phazer GT. 2500 miles and in VERY GOOD condition. What a PITA to do the oil filter !!! Got the entire sled stripped down and all is good.

Get the donuts from the dealer. Theyre cheap.....change them now or be prepared to by new Y pipes in 1000 miles or less. They go quickly. As for wheels, don't waste your money on Royal stuff. Get the new style wheels from Yamaha...same for the speedo bearing. Stick with OEM or better.

5000 miles? Pretty much everything EXCEPT the motor and plastics! :o| Just so you know I'm not being an A$$ here's a list of stuff that I've seen break between 5000-10000 miles on various buddy's sleds. -driveshafts (2) -speedo bearing (took out speedo sensor) -W-arm cracks -Y pipes...
