Oh ya! I’m glad I caught it! Fired sled up for first time this year and smelt gas! Shut it down before it got too hot! Mine was a loose clamp. Replaced clamps with gear clamps! Funny I heard about the recall on this site. I didn’t get any recall notice from Yamaha!

Good tip thanks! Mine was out, was stalling last ride.

Just put a 1000km on the new flash. Starts way better in the cold (-28c) . No hot start issues and seems to have better mid range power!

Mirrors don’t fold but the factory cover fits np.

Just talked to my dealer today. He said he heard about the new 19 flash and says it sounds promising. It’s going to be available for all viper years. He going to let me know as soon as it’s available.

Ya I’m happy! Best before was 98 . Sled seems to pull harder the more miles I put on. 3800 miles ( 6100km ) on it now.

Hit a 106 on Speedo / 104.9 on gps today! Bone stock other than 96 studs and transfer blocks removed.

yamaha medium sma-8lr96-30-sm and mirror kit. Shield is premarked for mirror’s just need to drill holes.
