    Storm 150 1st season update

Ice attack doesn't have enough lug height for our conditions, the groomed trails still have loose stuff on top and 1.22 isn't quite enough to move the snow. great speed track though, I imagine. I like little bite when we get bunch new snow also. Looking at Composit C38 or camso cobra 1.35 and...

    Storm 150 1st season update

Well camso said screws voided warranty and they said power of sidewinder is to much for storm 150, paddles gonna keep folding and tearing off. They suggested ripsaw2 1.5 with conventional studs up middle. Seems they might clarify what sleds these tracks shouldn't be installed on. Question...

    Storm 150 1st season update

I had a Storm 150 installed on my ltx se last fall, installed 250 INS screw in studs instead of conventional. I was trying to avoid tearouts. Last winter we had lots of snow where we ride, but work limited my season to 500 miles. The Storm 150 with screws was the perfect setup for...

Anyone running the Ice Storm 150?

Installed a storm 150 on my ltx this fall, loaded up with INS screws. I'd have to say it's the best change I've done to it. Hooks great on hard pack, little give in corners, no pushing. Not gonna win off the line on ice but awesome everywhere else. Track does load harder, had to take some...

    240 tune clutching

Mulling over gearing sled lower for our conditions and 1.5 inch track. Stock gear 125mph, never ride above 115 ever, a lot to gain in efficiency by changing gears, only challenge is the pain it is to do so. Use to change gears on doo in about ten min. This looked like all day

    240 tune clutching

Yes I'll try that setup my friend, but I like to learn to improve where I can, many different ways to get to same place. I am new to yami, used to be doo guy, shelves full of parts, usually adjust clutching for were ill be riding on sometimes weekly basis. The yami stuff reacts much diff than doo

    240 tune clutching

Reading posts I understand stiffer secondary spring, my concern in clutch heat with that, usually heavy springs and heavy weights dont work well with corner to corner, only long pulls, especially with lots of tip weight. Second is usually produced lots of heat

Does anyone have gearing calculator or know the top end of the 17-18 and the 19 Ltx se winders

    240 tune clutching

Understood on light spring, maybe I'll throw in the 37/35 helix I have with black orange at 60, should give more squeeze as shift stalls

    240 tune clutching

The other thing I notice is this setup has lots of back shift, like when you let off you dont need brakes to slow down

    240 tune clutching

Doesn't make sense yami goes with bigger helix and lighter spring and I have smaller helix with heavier spring??

    240 tune clutching

What helix and secondary spring is 19 update, i believe they are geared lower also, which makes difference

    240 tune clutching

Wrapping spring tighter mostly effects engagement or backshift, correct. Doesn't do much for full shift belt sqeeze.
