re-gear it to 22/38(unless the gearing is different on the 2009's) & it will give you about another 5mph without much difference on bottom end.at least it worked that way on mine.

Ok some of you guys are making this more confusing than it really is .Find yourelf a set of ORINGNAL 2006 bars from either a 2006 apex or 2006 attack & just simply plug them in.Yes you will have to use the existing throtle & brake mechanism that came stock on your 08 nytro's. It aint rocket...

Correct, but when they upgraded the bars they also upgraded the wiring harness so If you were to re-install the original bars that came on the apex's they would work better on the apex's aswell.

Re: bars wiring is different,from parralell to series,or vise-versa?

I doubt you can buy them from the dealer ,but if you check around some dealers may have some of the take off's kicking around, all you need are the bars & yes you should also have a 1-2 " riser or just simply install the hand shield brackets upside down so they dont scratch the tank cover. ;)!

Well i did manage to get the nuts fastend but know I'm having difficulty sliding the tank far enough ahead.What/ how did you manage to get the tank further ahead? Mine needs to go at least another half inch forward to be able to fasten the seat bolt's?

Ok I have my tank 99% installed & I want to go sledding in the AM, I cant for the life of me figure out why the bcak lower bolts wont come up past the rear of the tank so i can attach the nuts?, they seem too low for some apparent reason ?? Am I doing something wrong here?? (It's the 2 large...

Yamaha also said there could be issues with changing the bars on my 06 apex ,I logged on nearly 8000 miles & had no electrical issues with the apex either.so far I have over 3000 miles on my nytro & no issues with electrical at all.

I installed 2006 apex bars & they will burn your hands off if you turn them up to full :Rockon:

Gear up, I have 22/38 and top speed is around 110 on smooth flat conditions,some have said it didnt work in there's but it worked fine in mine even before the other mods I had done. You may want to try getting your rpm's up a little first My nytro seems to like 9100 best.

Instead of cutting the tabs off, I think maybe they should offer something that slides over the tabs made from the same material as the tank(thin strip's).Thats the only area that I could tell that it wasnt stock looking.imo

Mine also has a rattle, but it turn's out there are about 4 rivets that are loose at the back of the tunnel. just start it up & grab hold of the tunnel & see if the noise goes away.
