I have ran the crap out of my sidewinder on the 272 setting since it was brand new with zero issues. They designed the tunes to use the stock BOV knowing there would be boost bleed past 15-16psi. If you use a turbo-smart bov on the 272 tune it will build more boost and be borderline safe on...
I cant answer who exactly wrote the original tunes but I had conversations with Dale at D&D which led me to believe they had a big hand in customized their own tunes. Using the D&D Gap flasher with the latest firmware update will enable knock protection. It also puts the tunes into a jukebox...
I never even tried it as I couldn’t get past the aggressive engagement and the over all length of the spring just didn’t sit well with me. I never felt backshift and throttle response was an issue. The one thing I learned on my SRX while trying to dial it in is that it had a fault code stored...
My bad it was the D&D Blue primary and that thing was a POS. Engagement was way high and I don’t thing I even made it out of the shop before scrapping that spring.
Yeh their website does suck. I started with D&D’s grey secondary spring and the stock 35 helix and stock primary spring. Top end sucked with that set up. D&D then sent me their blue secondary spring and that really sucked so that was when I pulled the Dalton springs and the stock 39/35 helix...
What tune are you running and do you have the flasher? I am running their bundle along with their exhaust and it runs well. I usually keep it on the 270 setting running the Magnaforce weights, Dalton Green/blk primary, 35/39 helix with dalton blk/orange secondary. Can’t remember exactly how I...
I suppose but once the tuning begins very rarely is anything equal, and a good running LE or SE will run ski to ski. Especially if your on anything but ice. I have both and believe me I’d love to think my SRX is that much faster but it just isn’t nor is it any faster than the two other tuned...
I absolutely love my SRX in the trail and wouldn't trade it for anything. That being said after 1500 miles I will be changing my studded 1" track for a fully clipped and studded 1.5" Storm. The 1" isn't terrible you just don't get that acceleration giggle feeling on anything but hard, hard...
The outers on the 5.7 pilots will most likely need to be drilled out which is super easy. Honestly though the outside bar is not going to make much diffence in the handling, it only protects the outside of the ski. IMO
Seriously though depends on what you are looking for but I have always used Jason Price. That being said with today's technology you can just pic a vendor, purchase a flasher and upload the tunes yourself.
