2005 rs rage, 136" 2.52pitch.
Got a line on a like new 137x 2.86 track....cheap.
Are 2.86 drivers available for my sled? And will 1 5/8" clear? This is one of the tracks with build in studs...
Thanks in advance.
I haven't pulled it yet, but looks clean at/near the 3 into 1.
If its steel then I feel confident in my welding. No tig welder, but I'm good with arc and only limited by my equipment for mig(flux core).
Ok good, that's what I was hoping for, still much have to take it out anyways to get a good weld on it. Probably gonna do the donuts anyways since I don't know when they have been done.
I hear the oil draining back, this is emediately after turning it off, quick and then done with, the oil draining is more like the sound of making a pot of coffee.
The vector got louder yesterday, looks like a clean break where it goes from 3 to 1.
I would like to ride it the next week or so...
2005 vector and 2005 rage both make a woosh sound on shutdown( turned off with key). Not every time but often. It sounds like a flame. Is this normal? Or is there something wrong with both of them?
I've got an 05 rs vector that lost a rear axle guild wheel. Nut side on rear axle.
I picked up a slightly older? rear wheel(R0178e/b10), and it has replaceable bearing(6004)
So, can I use this one to get me by, is it also the 178mm size(looks the same diameter.
I plan on going through all...
I recently purchased about 80 snowmobile belts, turned out to mostly be polaris and ac belts..... had to kinda buy them quick or loose out on the deal. So here's the question.....
For my 4 strokeYamaha, I'm only gonna use oem tammy belts.
But what about for the lower hp fan sleds, indy light...
Didn't get a chance to ride, but I did get it to repeat its symptom in the light. It turned out to be the warning light not low coolant light and 84 flashed on the gauge cluster. Now I need to figure out how to bypass it to confirm....I haven't read the entire "tors" thread but a quick look...
Thanks thrasher for the info. I dont need it for 2 people touring, gush on occasional to have my 10yo ride on the back if we all go out. Not putting her on there without a legit seat with backrest. And would be riding very easy also.
Maybe squirrelly isnt accurate, still a noob on snowmobiles...
This forum is awesome! I just purchased a used 05 rs rage with 6800 miles for $1500. I just couldn't pass it up for that.
It really wasn't what I was looking for, I have very limited snowmobiling experience. Never got on one up until a month ago, now that's my 8th sled.
First one with this...
I started reading the "tors" thread below I need to go ride it and make sure it's not that, backing off the throttle after some spirited riding is when it seems like it happened. It was described to a t or what I was experiencing. Is there both a temp sensor and a low coolant sensor on the rage...
I just purshased a 05 rs rage. Having a problem with the low coolant light coming on and when it does the engine sputters and dies.
Temp was about 28 last night.
Chokes it and fire it right up..
Orange "low coolant" light on for a minute or 2 while it warmed up then off.
After about 30 mins...
