It is a different part number like Travis said, maybe a little shorter side it mounts to the bottom of the stealth master cylinder. But if the stock line works for you I'm not changing it.
Anyone I installed one of the new '20 and up master cylinders on their Viper or Winder? It is a lot cleaner with the shorter lever, composite should be warmer than the aluminum, plus it mounts closer to the switch gear which will free up some space to mount things on the bars like my inreach...
To those who have done this swap:
-has anyone changed gearing? (10 tooth 2.52 drivers being 5% bigger)
-is the getting the speedo recalibrated an issue?
-Any other issues to consider?
I may get the latest flash in the off season, unfortunately its a couple hours drive to the nearest dealer in Maine. Trying to get up and running in the meantime, appreciate the help from both of you guys. Now time to do a snow dance....
I get that, but would like to avoid the engine code as the stock O2 narrow band is eliminated (not plugged in). I have a yamaha O2 elimator kicking around from a motorcycle, same plug, 330 and 470 ohm resistance. Will this do the trick?
I'm installing a PCV and AutoTune in a 2016 XTX. Currently has the 16 flash so still uses the O2 sensor. The PCV I have does not come with an "Optimizer" resistor an I'm using the stock O2 location in the exhaust for the AurTune Wideband O2 sensor. I was not planning to get the latest flash...
This is an older post, but to be clear, just the 330ohm resistor on the O2 heater wires to bypass? Leave the sensor wires open?
I bought an O2 bypass for a yamha motorcycle to get the same plug (and avoid cutting up the stock sensor) just need to make sure I get the resistors right. It has a...
I just found this same thing on my 2016 XTX SE after reading this post, for two years I've always felt the steering was a little heavy. (Spent a lot of time tweaking the suspension). May go to new ARCS front end with my upper arms needing to be replaced anyways.
Looking for some measurements for a rear suspension project from someone out there that has a 2020-21 XTX SE or LE 146.
On the Rear skid-
-Front arm: top to bottom pivot
-Rear top arm: top to bottom pivot
-Rear lower arm: top to bottom pivot
-center to center tunnel mount holes
- center to...
My biased opinion is low cranking rpms combined with lower voltage makes for hard cold starts when colder than -10F. I installed a couple 50watt block heater pads, one on oil tank and one on the oil pan and will plug it it when below zero.
The qs3 shock was a coil over from an '18 cat high country, better but still not great. Lots of experimenting with different pressure in the Evol-type Hygear chamber, still would get some hard bottoming and rough ride, not as good as the coil over.
Suspension rider sag was set around 30% of...
General comments: I've ridden about 500 miles this year in Maine North Woods backcountry. The '16 XTX has proven reliable so far except for one -24F morning that required heat from a duramax exhaust to get it going ( same with an Apex XTX). Its fun in the powder and but the falling rate...
Old post but thought I would add that I just bought a 2016 XTX SE this spring with 1500 miles on the clock that is still mounted in the incorrect upper holes. Only was rubbing on one rail tip though as the previous owner must have hit a stump (or something buried in the snow) with the right...
I'm new to the Viper and overall like the sled from the one ride I took the end of last season. I've spent the balance of the summer bolting on a few things and tweaking all things people before me have found. Not too thrilled with how the radiator dumps hot air right at the intake but didn't...
