I've got replacements and if that improves it I'll go through the whole front end this summer. Its a second sled, so it can sit out the rest of the year if needed.
Edit: I'm just going to go the Mountaintech A Arm route. The lower ball joints were $180...
Oh there was no weight on the front when I tried turning the adjusters. I even took the tension off the spring and couldn't turn the collar. I'll have to use a brass punch.
I also stop by the dealer to get some lower ball joints.
How are you supposed to crank more compression into the center shock? I have shock wrenches, theres no room to get them in there and I can't turn it at all. Even the two front shocks don't want to turn, but those I don't believe have any preload set in them.
I did try turning the spring dampers...
I double checked, the toe is zero as near I can tell. Also running the semi aggressive ones.
I was going to reduce the limiter strap but both are already at the last hole so they can't get any looser. I'll have to try to crank more spring compression into it.
I have the GYTR clicker shocks...
I received them this week and installed, did 190 miles. I felt like it improved darting, but holy #*$&@ does it still take effort to turn. I did the steering relocate as well and thought it significantly improved it, after riding my Polaris back to back with the Nytro, the Nytro feels like you...
Yeah just did. I was looking at Woody's and Stud Boys dual runners till I found out that the price I was seeing ($80) was for a single and not a pair. $175 for a pair of Snowtrackers.
I've got a couple issues I've got to work through. Bought a used 08 Nytro last year knowing handling was an issue, really wanted to try out the 4 stroke. I like the sled, I've got to start to work on the darting and heavy steering. So I have a Barnofparts steering relocate kit that I've waited...
I've not installed the steering relocator yet, but I have one. I wanted to try the sled out first. Does the relocate fix the massive disparity between how far you turn the bars and how far the skis turn? Because it feels like I barely turn the bars and the skis turn a lot. Its also a bear to...
Yep forgot to trim them after putting the new ones on the rail. I trimmed them best I could without removing the skid just by removing the rear axle. Not as bad, should be OK after a little bit of riding, just no reversing for a bit till they wear.
I just did a track change and extension with a skid relocate on my 2008 Nytro. I'm aligning the track, and I think its pretty close but I'm getting this awful buzzing sound when the track is turning.
I've almost got the adjusters the same, my finger fits between the slide rails and the track...
So the answer I got was the flat washer usually goes on the outside of the tunnel in the new front skid mounting spot, they don't care about the gap left between the plate and tunnel on the front skid bolt on the inside but putting the washer behind it is fine, could make the suspension install...
I figured out what rivets come out, but I'm not certain I have the washer in the correct spot. Are you supposed to relocate the bracket for the front skid to the new hole? You get 1 washer per side, 1 bolt and nut, and rivets which I'm using and obviously the bracket. I thought the washer was...
So I've finally got around to pulling the skid, I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly before I go cutting rivets and drilling holes. It just lays over the top of the existing plate I assume. Some of the rivets line up, I also assume I add ones in places where holes are drilled
I ended up with this kit as well. I'm confused how many rivets do I have to use on it? Is it made to have 1 rivet in each of the circular areas or is that not enough?
I'll have to see if it has one. Its got 7200 miles on it, picked it up on a whim last spring for $1500. Going to see if I like it before doing too much to it. But I say that and I've already ordered a skid relocate and rail extensions to make it a 136, but I already had the track so I have that...
I'm looking for an oil change kit. I've found one on Partzilla for $60 but it didn't list the models specifically but says its 2 and 3 cylinder four strokes on the bottle. Just to be sure I hopped over to and ebay listing for the same product and it doesn't list the 2008 Nytro in the compatible...
Yeah I saw that, I was trying to get an idea what other kits looked like. I saw photos that some are a whole streering assembly and some are just a bracket. I'm not really setup to make the 1.75" diameter bend.
