I am interested in purchasing one of these too. I am also in Ontario.
Is there much difference in price for an 8DN vs. 8JP?
I'm pretty sure it's an 8DN belt on the sled now, and I have a new 8DN ready to go.
I'd switch the the 8JP with adjuster to get the best performance out of the belt/sled...
thank for your reply swamp cat!
but post #80 doesn't fully answer my specific question.
I asked about the "newer" engine and whether the wiring gets routed the same way.
I'll take my heat gun out with me to warm up the wiring a bit to make it more pliable and go from there.
cheers
Reviving an old thread!
I have a ‘16 with newer motor and have everything apart but still can’t get the wiring to play nice as it’s very bulky and hard to turn...
Does this fuse box relocate mod apply to the newer engines also?
Also, what rpm does it engage at?
I see that spring has the same initial preload force as other soft springs but the total force is about 30 kg more.
What does a lower total force do?
Cheers
Bring an old thread from the dead here...
Bullit01, there is no “pink-blue-pink” listed in the previously posted spring table/chart...
What is everyone’s preference for soft springs?
cheers
Thx for the soft spring info!
I’ve been looking up posts regarding the best colour spring to use and am still confused. It seems that the white-pink-white is best?
Many of the threads I’m coming across are old and dead.
Also, I am going to relocate my fuse box to above the belt guard for better...
Ok thx!
I’m old enough now to appreciate handling and suspension much more than top speed lake runs.
Lake runs are fun every now and then but twisties and ditch banging are much more enjoyable.
Ok this is the first I’ve ever heard of these soft springs. If it makes for a better on/off throttle launch “feel” and smoother down low takeoffs I’m all for it!
What exactly is involved?
I don’t mind learning!
I assume the BOP stuff is cheaper than OEM?
ok thx for the reply Mrsled!
when it comes time for an oil change (which I want to do asap.), I have to drain the oil from the motor (small hex head bolt near the oil filter) AND the oil tank? it is known as a dry sump?
also, the book states I can run 87 octane. Will the sled run any better on...
Hi everyone!
This site is awesome, so much great info. It helped me in my decision to pickup my first REAL sled.
I still have a few outstanding questions for the guru's around here...
The sled came with a "pouch" that installs under the gauge cluster just in front of the steering stem (it...
