I rode a 2017 ZR9000 for about 10 miles but that's it Mike.
Didn't care for it because it didn't belong to me. Back then I just wanted to be back on my Doo. I was blinded by the brand lol.
Ski Doo does have a quality product but doubtful to get 998 levels of hp on stock internals and as old as the cat chassis is, it still looks great no matter the color.
Completed break in on the 900 motor should produce a few more hp but I don't ever see the Doo tunes putting out the same hp as the Yamaha is capable of.
Hey! That's why I'm here!
Not to mention the super sexy look of the SRX.
Not here to bash at all. After reading I'm still very excited about the arrival of my SRX, and will continue to be optimistic. We don't live in a perfect world and just about any item on the market has room for improvement.
Mr. V I hope you find a sled that meets your needs and continue to...
I did just that last winter on my buddies zr 9000. Using a 4 flute tap. I spent 1 1/2 hrs. grinding out the tap with a dremel. 4 flute taps are a no no.
Hmmmm? Waiting for my first non ski doo sled. I'm no longer praying for snow. Just my new sled.
A buddy was at the grass drags last weekend and said the 2022 SRX looks amazing. I think it will be worth the wait.
I own the 900 T and fully agree with Mr. Knapp. Inside ski lift and front end lift out of a corner is definitely an issue. I also like the storage on the cat/sidewinder more than the 900T. I don't have my srx yet but I have worked on a few t cats and a winder. So far I'm really liking the 998s.
