curious to see 22 lineup. Any word if 22 sleds will have some kind of viewing for spring ordering? Maybe selected dealers? Jaret?
Would be nice to see first hand on any possible "unadvertised" fixes. The winder has allot going for it if it can get that skidoo reliability. Weird I said that the...
Noticed Chris is wearing a plane FXR jacket and not Yamaha branded. Kind of indirectly says he's retired and just happy to be a snowmobiler. I've met him and rode with him a few times and was always a pleasure to be around. Very few people like him around today that has good in-site on how...
its no secret the nytro consistently carried about 50 lbs of snow/ice under tunnel due to the rear exhaust. The smooth clean tunnel under Viper has no heat source, which is a huge plus IMO.

the more I read this thread, the more I get confused. So I'm guessing the new 2020 flash was available last season and some had issues with it? Was kind of hoping some Japanese nerd flew to Thief River Falls to do some magic once and for all on this 6 year old Viper debate. Heck I would pay for...
No offence, but your constant 2-stroke complaining and posting plagues every forum. You read way to much then you need to post in those forums only to bring them to the top because you have feelings to share, then read them again the same day. Push your keyboard away once in a while!

Persoally I think ITC is a good idea if done right, which was probably an easy thing to do for yamaha as they used a regular stroke throttle and they already have triple throttle bodies stacked right beside the engine to work with. As previously stated, it seems doo is trying to program the ITC...
As yamaha doesn't post weights, you can check the cats. The ZR 9000 Limited is 603 lbs and the ZR 7000 Limited is 547 lb...both 137 so difference of 56 lbs.

So what do we know for certain on the 2020 ECU update? Is the latest flash today the same that's coming next fall? I heard new map will have higher RPMs, which leads me to think there will be different clutch calibration to go with it. Guess we should know soon if anything changed in the 2020...
sounds like a real butcher job to me. I don't think it will be any quieter and then you'll have to deal with ice issues under tunnel and the extra weight it brings. Then you lose storage behind the seat unless you do exhaust turnouts, which makes storage awkward.

Seen the 2020s at show yesterday. Checked out Viper as I'm interested in this sled. Do like the SE for colours, but gonna need a shock swap to suite my riding. The GT seems to be coloured more for the female crowd, but does have nice options for being an in season model. Really like the fact...
Kind of leary having a 2 step setup as sometimes there could be a secret draw on battery if key is left in on position. If its done anything like a Poo where it has kill switch/key combo, there is a battery draw if key is left in on position even though it appears nothing is drawing regardless...
well crap on the ECU. ECU mapping was bang on from the get go on Nytro and its been years in the making for the yamacat. I was starting to think its finally safe to buy a Viper, but now second guessing. It's been 7 model years now under the cat banner so maybe they have it running as good as the...
The ol 700 SRX was low sleek and fast with its low profile track and low suspension profile. Why not build from that heritage and take a tall sitting sidewinder and have it defaulted for speed for those that want that? I'm sure the taller Sidewinders will still be available for those that want...
Yeah I think thats the part that scares me the most and I simply don't trust gas stations. With todays new vehicles, there is much less demand for premium fuel as years ago with the mass production of direct injection on turbo systems. Regardless if premium fuel is recommended or not, there will...
