Ethanol has been in the gas in Michigan, MN, and WI for many years. The only effect it has on stock engines is that it doesn't have a very long shelf life like the non oxygenated fuels do. Ethanol has high octane, but if you are buying 87 octane fuel, it is 87 octane at a min. Not sure what the...
I sold my apex gt last year and miss it. I loved the HP, but really love the quietness of my parents vectors and the mileage. I'm really torn between the two. I just wish it came in an efi model. What to do, what to do.
All this talk about the FX Nitro's on here, but not much about the new body style of the Vector's. How are people liking them, or are they not selling due to the prices being too high?
I had on 06 gt, and didn't have a problem until I sold it this year, and the new buyer found the wire broken. It worked on my last ride, but broke sometime before I was done and loaded it on the trailer. The adjustment range is noticeable when in short choppy trails, but really isn't worth the...
I too have had a few of his kits for 2-strokes in the past and they worked great. He obviously knows his stuff. I wish I lived close enough still to drop by and try out Tim's sled myself. I have always had great service there, but am wondering if a clutch kit is really worth the money or just...
Very normal. Engine is tight, and there is engine breaking going on with these four strokes. Wait until the snow flies, and you will forget all about this, because you will be on the gas so much the ski's will be off the ground. Enjoy.
I think you would be able to do that easily. Just pull both on from the front, with the first one pulled all the way to the driverside, and then push the rear end of the sled to the wall, and then drive the second sled on and put it all the way over to the passenger side, and put the rear of...
Just figured seeing he was taling about an enclosed trailer with the width of 7' that it would have a V-nose. Thanks for correcting me Jimmie d. I didn't know there was any difference. Thanks for being that one expert on each post on here lately.
I measured and measured, and said it wouldn't work. Then we tried it. You have to drive one of the 136's in from the front, then back in the other 136 next to it against the opposite wall, and then drive in the 121 so the tail end can fit into the nose of the trailer.
For the M-10, you need to have it set up for your weight. Change the FRA on each side and you will see a greatly improved ride. They should be hard to bottom out. Once you get it to your weight, the weight transfer will suck though, and you may have some darting issues seeing the weight is more...
Of course increasing the spring tension will help, if you weigh too much then a stiffer spring is needed. The GT is not a bump sled, not sure why you expected it to be. The GT stands for groomed trail. If you want to compare a Blair Morgan sled with any Yamaha, you will be really disappointed...
